This is not made exceptionally well, but it is not badly made either. It looks like it will hold up under normal wear and tear and has a little weight to it. It was tough on my face and took some work to finish. It's not a very high quality one, but it's thick, works well, and gets a lather from the set's soap in a bit less than a minute. I love it for the price point.Soap10 out of 10 Col. Conk Amber Glycerine Shave Soap  - Roughly $5Great. I use it directly from the plastic and rinse when finished.These were rough prices for the individual items at time of posting. I've also posted pictures for close ups and measurements. My take on this product is it's worth it if you are interested in at least three of the four items. If you're only interested in one or two of the items, I would recommend buying them individually.

I bought this as a gift for my husband for Christmas. He's been using a shave brush I bought him, but it's always just laying around on the counter. He loves this brush even more than his last one and uses the stand. He "really really" likes the shaving soap. Really. But he did give away the razor because he's particular about that. The brush fits snug on the base, the base is sturdy, and it all looks very nice sitting on our bathroom counter.

If you are looking for an initial shave set, I would go with this. It's affordable, and small enough to tuck away on the bathroom counter. The boar brush is a bit rough, but does create a good lather with the shave soap. The razor doesn't come with replacements, so be prepared to purchase #100 style razor blade cartridges.

I brought this for my husband for his birthday, he likes how the brush evenly spreads the lather. He says he is able to experience barbershop quality at home.

All great except it's doesn't come with the shave soap bowl...

Razor is low quality. The Soap doesn't smell the best but lathers well.

Nice quality brush. My 75 year old grandpa has been using badger brushes since his teenage years and is very picky. He reported that this was a great quality and he was happy to have a replacement after several years with the same set.
