Fantastic Little Pumps
I have been running these pumps for about 4 months now. They have remained submerged in water the entire time, except when my water reservoir is emptied and cleaned.The build-up you see on the pump in the picture is just vegetable oil, I add it to the water to keep mosquitoes from breeding. That said, the oil has not inhibited the pump at all.The only issue I've experienced is that after a couple months of running the hoses started to come loose from the pumps as they are only a friction-fit connection. I added a small zip tie, and this solved the problem.

they work really well
After reading some of the reviews i debated whether i should buy theses pumps. I need them for a project i will be starting soon. I only need one small pump, but for the price of three , I believed that at least one would work. Surprise, they all work really well. They are the right size, Their voltage and current specifications are great, and there price is very good. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase!

Cables extremely thin
The cables are impractically short and the pins are so thin it's extremely difficult to extend them. For something that's supposed to be submerged, it is really dumb that the cables are only about 6 inches long.

Seized - won't turn
Two out of three arrived seized and wouldn't turn. I took one apart and the impeller was jammed in the housing. It looks like glue was not applied carefully. Buyer beware.

Used this pump in an arduino based bird bath.

All worked great. Used a old usb plug to wire them up.. running off of 4 18650 cells.. or when they are charging i just use a portable battery usb pack..
