Stout rod holder!
The plastic used for this is extremely stout. Ive used my rod holder mainly for trolling. I have no issues with my rod coming loose, the sliding lock on the end of the rod holder keeps your rod super secure. Railblaza for the win again!

Not enough support from the miniport for a decent sized saltwater rod.
It's a nice rod holder and works fine, and the miniport is easy to use. BUT the miniport rail mount is not very robust. My rod was bending the miniport from side to side and almost ripped the track out of the yyak. Partly Hobie fault for screwing the tracks in, instead of thru bolting them. But Railblaze needs to make a HD version of the miniport for more support in the track. If your using a light freshwater rod, probably ok. But not for Striped Bass fishing
