This is exactly what I expected it to be. I was shopping for a small to medium sized lightweight noisemaker for our local Relay for life event so that the teenage kids could call the theme laps before they happened, and this worked great! The good: the size. This is a 6 inch plastic noisemaker. It fits in your hand easily and is lightweight so can be carried for long periods without causing issues. It's compact size makes it easy to tuck away and the hard plastic is strong. Mine took more than 1 hard fall with no breaks, cracks or paint chips. The logo on the noisemakers is fun and generic enough to be used for nearly anything. The red really stands out as well. This is a fun product that slightly amplifies sound, so when the kids were yelling through it, it was loud but not offensively loud.The construction seemed really strong considering it's really just a glorified toy. There were no sharp edges around the mouthpiece and it is easy to hang on to. The bad: The basic quality. it is a very functional item, but the quality and the look of it is cheap. It's "nearly" a toy. All in all, I am pleased with this product. It really was exactly what I expected it to be, and it lasted through a 24 hour event being tossed around by a group of teenagers with no casualty. It's been stored away for next year's event. I would buy it again quite happily knowing that it really is just a high quality toy and not something you would use for a situation where you would really need to amply sound. This would be a great accompaniment to a cheerleaders costume for Halloween or could be used as a prop for a play.

Probably the only one who uses this compact inexpensive megaphone for this purpose. I take care of my 103 year old Mother here at home and of course her hearing is….. what hearing😂 She can’t use hearing aids so thought, I wonder if a small megaphone might work? Voila! It made a difference so for $6 jackpot! Sure it would be great to call the kids for dinner. Also you could reverse it, put it up to your ear and hear what you’ve been missing

For Halloween I am acting in a scene as the Town Crier of Salem MA and I needed to amplify my voice. The speaking trumpet as we know it today was officially invented approximately 1655 (Edison did not invent it but he did coin the name "megaphone"), and my part in announcing the Witch Trials takes place in 1692, so it's a valid choice to use one to be heard. I scrubbed the megaphone lightly with an abrasive pad, then painted it bronze with a high-temperature engine paint. This seems reasonably durable. Also before painting I attached a handle. I have done this twice now, one for another actor. Color doesn't matter once it's painted so whatever model is cheapest is the one to buy! I have "aged" and adapted both a yellow and an orange cone this way.

Basically got this as a joke for my mom/dad. My dad is getting hard of hearing and can’t hear my mom talk to him from a shortish distance. Works just fine. If my mom tries talking to him and he doesn’t respond, all she has to do is pick up this megaphone and only raise her voice slightly and he responds right away. My mom only wishes it was smaller and had a handle or something. But it works for now and for the price, it’s great for what they need it for. Plus, now my mom doesn’t need to strain her voice anymore when she’s trying to get his attention.

This is great as a toy. Works well if you don’t have to shout through it because that makes it vibrate and your voice becomes muddled. Pictured with a “Shout” decal. Mine arrived with no decoration.

Simple item but handy. Wife's hard hearing, don't have yell using this item.

Purchased for Girl Scout Cookie Booths. Be warned your kids will not want to stop playing with this. You may need to hide it. 😅 But it did exactly what I wanted which was to get the girls engaged and get people’s attention.

This is a cheering item I take to cheer my running club. It's very light and easy to carry. I love it.

Description said 6 count, only got 1, and it was damaged. Called amazon to complain. They said that the quantity was an error in the description and sent a replacement. It was also damaged. Basically a cheap piece of plastic with poor quality printing. Not happy at all.
