Could've been better
This was weird - the pages were not fully utilized, many pics could have been added and one paragraph was printed twice. It was like an inept office serf didn't know how to use the copy machine. Try again. This is a great story.

more about PT Barnum than all the rest
One of my great grandfathers was an acrobat for Ringling Brothers. He named his daughters after two of the Brothers' wives. While Barnum's family is discussed in detail, only three of the Ringling wives are named and barely any other descendants. the title is misleading, so if a reader wants know about PT Barnum, this is the book for you. If you want more about the Ringling family, not so much.

A good but too brief history!
This is a very good summary of the life of PT Barnum with a short section on the evolution of the circus. As a Kindle Single type read (and price) it is a worthwhile read for anyone interested in this slice of history. Just be warned that the section on the circus itself is very short and somewhat academic.

A Fraud, a Salesman & a Fraud, but Not a Crook. I greatly enjoyed this booklet.
Going by the title, you'd be excused for thinking this is mostly about the Baileys.Even so, this is a terrific 69 pages about a salesman, scheister and fraud who got filthy rich by tapping into the public's darker side that greatly desires the chance to be able to see what everyone is talking about. But, Barnum used his wealth to try buying respect. This is well worth the cost. Read The Greatest Show on Earth.

Fascinating!
Let me start by saying that most don't know that this circus was not one big name, but several individuals. I knew this, but I didn't know much about the rest except for P T Barnum and even then I learned plenty of stuff I never knew about this guy. I was please to learn about Mr. Bailey and The Reungling Bros(before changing their name). This book opened the doors to all the men involved that made this circus what it is today. A fascinating peek into history.....

Feel good circus history
this book was concise and detailed in good balance. the information and delivery highlighted how these people could be adventurous, realistic and successful at the same time. it also noted that they were savvy about entertainment and conscientious and caring about customers and those in need, including fairness and charity.

Where's the Bearded Lay?
‘Roll Up, Roll Up, All the fun of the fair’. We love it, the excitement, daring do and wild animals (well not anymore). But the Circus still holds a fascination and Barnum & Bailey are the most famous showmen of them all.Good biography of both Barnum & Bailey and the Ringling Brothers with photos and stories,I’m sure you’ll enjoy.
