Potensic D58, FPV Drone with 2K Camera, 5G WiFi HD Live Video, GPS Auto Return, RC Quadcopter for Adult, Portable Case, 2 Battery, Follow Me, Easy Selfie Expert Beginner

I am by no means a drone expert, but I was an early adopter, also owning a Parrot AR Pro 2.0, so I do have some experience with entry level drones. This Potensic drone is less than half the price of my old Parrot and has many more features.Pro's:- With the 3 'speed' modes it is very easy to get up and running without too much worry about crashing. At the lower speed I have let my kids (under age 11) control it and I haven't worried about them losing control.- The ability to adjust the tilt of the camera from the remote (this is one of the reasons I chose this model) but it has issues (see Cons)- The GPS return home feature is terrific- The flight distance and air time is decent- The travel case has a lot of cubbies for all of the equipment (I keep manuals, charging cable, extra batteries, remote, etc. in mine)- The phone app is straightforward to use though is not required unless you want to record video- The plastics seems sturdy (though is very lightweight)- The control sticks feel good when flying- The circle function is coolCons:- The camera image quality is just so-so (but I didn't really expect anything great at this price point)- The motorized movement of the camera tilt is too fast and hard to control, so using this while filming a video is unlikely to give you good results. You'll probably tilt too far and need to adjust. But for me, the most important thing is being able to adjust the camera at all while the drone is in the air. This works fine for still shots.- The remote is just ok and feels a bit cheap- The pull-out phone holder won't fit my iPhone XR (see photos)- The case is supposed to be aluminium but I have my doubts. It's generally solid, but the sides seem more like aluminum covered cardboard as opposed to solid aluminum.Overall I think this is a very good quality drone and kit for the price. Have flown it multiple times with no issues and the battery life / air time is decent. It handles nicely and the top speed is fun, but not too fast. I would say this is a great drone for beginners, and new drone enthusiasts.

Got this drone today and took it for a test flight after I charged up one of the batteries. It was a bit windy, but it flew great! My wife honestly wasn't too thrilled about me buying it at first, but now she wants one for herself. I've had experience flying helicopters in the past, but not much with drones and it was very easy to figure everything out. I'm not much of a reader. So I just hopped on youtube and watched Potensic's video on how to set it up. Very happy with the drone's ability to hold steady in windy conditions. I set the height limit to only 10m being it was my first time and it worked great. Return to home feature is nice. It scared me a little at first because the drone flew higher than I wanted it to, but it still came right back to me. I messed around a little with the follow me mode as well as the orbit mode. Follow me worked great, but orbit was a little off. I'll have to try it again to see if it was just the wind.My wife decided to give it a try herself and she actually did pretty well considering she has never flown anything.Battery is ok, but for the price I'd say it's well worth it. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good starter drone

I was initially a little concerned when I pulled this drone out of the box as the drone felt incredibly light. I quickly read the instructions, charged the battery, and attempted an initial flight which went just okay. I was impressed with how well it held altitude but I didn't figure out the flight controls until the next day so I won't say the instructions were exactly easy. Once I did figure out some of the flight control options, I found I liked the altitude holding feature. I previously owned a drone that could carry a Go Pro and had completely manually flight controls. My main complaint with that older drone was that I had to fly very carefully to get a decent photo and holding altitude was challenging. The next day I figured out manual flight control which ended up being fairly straight forward. This new drone flew nicely and without having to worry about altitude constantly, I found it much easier to fly. I still have a few things to figure out like how to record higher definition video. Recording to my phone is working. Initial battery life seemed very promising, I did get two batteries with my particular package order. It also came with a metallic case and the case is fine but it is made of plastic. My initial pictures seem better than from my old drone but don't seem as good as that from really expensive drones I've seen from one of my friend's drones. I still have to figure out how to fly by GPS way points which should be useful. So far, I'm pleased with my purchase.

The D58 is a nice drone even for beginners. It is very user friendly and works well even with a breeze blowing. It also only weights 231 grams w/battery so no FAA registration is required. The remote is small and very functional and it holds your phone for video and pictures. The camera quality is good with a nice view and can be moved up and down using the remote control. I really like the app as it even tells you when the drone must return home because the battery only has enough power to return home-which it does automatically using its internal GPS. I also like the ease of the return home function as you don't have to fly it home manually. It also comes with a nice metal case and two batteries. The drone flies for 15-20 minutes per battery. I will be using it to photograph small bird inhabited islands just offshore from my house. All in all I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend this product.
