Great Filter, you probably need the adapter kit to use it
I use one of these in place of the stock GM fuel/filter on my LLY Duramax. They say any particles larger than 4 microns can plug your injectors, an expensive pain to replace even if you do it yourself, do this job once and you’ll stop at nothing to ever risk having to do it again. The $99 OEM AC Delco filter GM recommends only filters to 12 microns, obviously they like selling you injectors and service, this filter is rated down to 2 microns, they don’t sell injectors or service so they only have to focus on selling you the best filter they can make. Here’s the downsides...You’ll need to first buy the adapter kit to use this, adapter not included, this is just the replacement filter for those of us who already have the adapter. The good news is the adapter kit is simple to install, just screws on like a filter, this screws onto the adapter. You’ll spend less for this filter and the reusable adapter than you’ll spend for just one OEM filter at the GM parts counter. You’ll then be able to buy 4 of these filters for what you’ll pay for just one of the OEM ones, and the CAT is a much better filter. The other downside, if you replace your OEM filter with this one you’ll no longer have a water separator since that’s part of the OEM filter. You just leave the wires for the water in fuel sensor unplugged. The downside is you’ll want a water separator in your diesel fuel system and will have to get one. Most of us just install “lift pumps” that also have their own fuel filters and much better water separator system built into them. This is the idea way to go, you’ll have redundant fuel filters, a separate (more effective) water separator and your fuel system will then be pushed (pressurized) into the injector pump instead of being sucked (vacuum). The plus in that is if you get a fuel leak in a line it will spray out and be easy to find, where as with the suction system it will just suck air into your fuel system causing poor performance, expensive damage, and a lot of difficulty in finding the source of the leak.I personally like the AirDog II 165GPM system regulated to push my fuel at about 12psi. I run a fuel low pressure gauge before my injector pump and a fuel high pressure gauge after it on my fuel rail. Monitoring the pressure lets me know when I need to change my fuel filter. These CAT filters last me a year before I change them even if I’m not seeing any pressure drops on my gauges, your own mileage will vary depending on the fuel quality you buy.The entire system, CAT filter with adapter, Glow Shift high and low fuel pressure gauge (optional) and AirDog lift pump system still costs less than what you’ll pay just in parts for a single CP3 injector pump or new injectors. You can also install it all very easily and quickly yourself, new injector pump or injectors not so easy, in fact their a pain to install and anything but a quick job to do.

'14 Ram 2500 6.7 Cummins
I use this filter on my '14 Ram 2500 with a 6.7 Cummins. I have the Black Market Diesel screw on filter kit installed and it makes life a million times easier with filter changes! Also: these filters are WAY better than the factory MOPAR kits and also saves you some money. And time! Total filter change time is down to about 20 minutes now (without the fear of breaking the cheap plastic filter housing caps)

Good filter
These caterpillar filters are by far the best I use them on my Duramax diesel pick up. Bosch suggest using them to keep their injectors clean because of the tight micron tolerance. The only difference between getting it here and getting it from caterpillar is the one at the dealership comes in a caterpillar box, just more trash for the landfill Will buy again
