Great boots!
This is a great boot. True to size and very comfortable. I have owned Rapid Respond boots, both in black smooth leather and tan suede. for many years and have never been disappointed at the quality, fit and comfortability.

Professional, but feel about 15 years out of date
These boots are well insulated, especially around the ankles. Compared to the svelte Danner, Nike, or garamont AR-670 compliant boots I'm more familiar with, these feel chunky.A lot of people like the side-zip ankle but I don't find much benefit. In order to fit my feet I still need to undo the laces for ingress/egress, so it adds a step instead of saving one. I think part of this has to do with the amount of padding on the ankle to prevent the zipper from rubbing. The boot is wide generally, which makes the hard toe more obvious. I find the boot hot and not breathable. This is troublesome when standing in the hot sun all day.The included insole takes a little getting used to.If I had to do it all again I may have tried another brand, but the build quality is nice enough that I'll keep them in hopes of warm dry feet in the winter. On a side note the boots required no more than a gentle break in and accepted a toe possible adequately.

Most comfortable boot I have worn.
This is the first time I have done a review on these boots but I have had at least 10 pair by now. I have been wearing them for many years and have had all the different colors and the tall as well as ankle height. I don't know the exact details but these were originally made by Converse, and just as good. Out of all the pairs I have had, none have failed me! I wear them until the tread is bald. And I have a hard time letting go of my old worn out boots. I have an old pair in my car, truck and a few in the back of my closet for back up. I have tried many other good brands, but these fit my wide size12 foot the best. I wear them everyday 12+ hours a day. I cannot recommend these boots enough, especially if you have big, wide feet.

Ordered a size large, Still was tight
Want a sore back after an hour? Want your arch support under your heel? Want a water proof boot with a zipper on a side (Ok that was in the description)Look no farther. Order now for guaranteed foot and back pains after an hour of standing on your feet doing machining work at a manual Lathe..Enough jokes aside. I ordered the boots a size larger (US male 9) then what I normally get as I was unsure how they would fit. I am happy that I ordered the boots a size large as they are a tight fit, Such a tight fit to the point where I can not put insoles into the boots to correct the arch support being under the heel instead of the arch.Im a Millwright by trade. I normally pay 250-400 dollars for a pair of work boots. Due to covid most of the brands I normally get do not have my size in stock (US 8 Male)For the company I work for they have a boot fund, figured why not try out some other brands see how they compare. As being a Millwright by trade, and spending 12+ hours on my feet in all sorts of weather, inside and outside. These boots are not made for a working person. They are made to "show off". They offer no support. Not enough room inside the boot to add the correct support. On a good note. I did get so mad at the boots that I took them off and hit them with an 8 pound hammer a few times. The composite toe did hold up.Would not buy again.

Good work boots
Good quality work boot. There was a couple of pressure points where the boots was too hard and it dug into my ankle, but after a couple of days they loosened up. I wear these boots for 10 hour shifts without any issues.

Super comfortable and well made boots.
Very comfortable boot with quick on/off side zipper. Well made with good arch support for all day wear. Great traction for city or country environments.

2 weeks of work, to break-in the upper. The sole is very shock resistant right off the bat.
The toe box is roomy, they could streamline it a little more with a lower profile in my opinion, but overall nice look and fit. Foot bed comfortable right a way. Would be ok, I guess without additional or thicker insoles, but I will be changing mine out. I do this with all my boots, even my steel toe pull-ons. The thickness of the full grain leather on this boot is quality.
