Cymatic Audio UTrack24

I bought this at a much higher price than it is currently, and frankly it was still worth it. I've been using this to drive click tracks, cues, and backing tracks for my band. It's been fantastic. The best part, IMO, is not having to lug around and baby a computer through a gig. For my purposes it requires a bit more pre-planning: if we're playing a show, we basically have plans and playlists set up for cutting 1-2 songs just in case. You can trigger tracks using a footswitch, so I created my own radio controlled footswitch using https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00W8V4KQ4/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1, so I'm able to trigger the next track from anywhere on stage. Additionally, it can play back MIDI along side the audio, so I'm about to add in MIDI automation for automatic guitar patch changing and driving light shows. I'll note that I've not delved into the recording aspect of the uTrack24, as it's been dedicated to playback for us.All in all, a great purchase.

Great at what it can do, but the usability of this unit is incredibly dampened by its inability to have any kind of preamp. The specs are not too specific about that. You can turn the input gain down, but you’re going to need an already preamplified signal.It functions beautifully if your signals are already preamplified though, although some basic, per channel limiters would have been nice.
