TjernlundDH10 Crawlspace Dehumidistat

Hey, it really worked when very humid. Still don't understand the dial. Since it does not require a thermostat it can't be relative humidity so I just set it in the middle at 50

I used this product in my crawl space on a bathroom fan in case of humidity build up in my crawl space. It turns on when it needs to, works great so far! (It has been hooked up for a couple of months)

I put this in my attic to help lower high humidity in the winter. I have a remote wireless temperature & humidity sensor there so I can take measurements without being up there. The Tjemlund DH10 Dehumidistat is well made and quite accurate. Its been doing its job. Highly recommended. One note... The wiring diagram that comes with the unit assumes the unit will be mounted in a crawlspace, and shows the dehumidistat wired in series with a thermostat switch. This wouldn't work for my attic application. In the attic the thermostat and the dehumidistat switches have to be wired in parallel so that either will turn on the ventilation fan.

Had a dehumidifier that was running constantly. I hard wired this to a 14 gauge extension cord that I split about two feet from the plug end and used cable clamps in the knockouts on the box. I plugged in my dehumidifier (set to maximum) to the other end of the extension cord. Set the DH-10 at 50% and it works great!

Solid and well made. Comes with its own metal utility box. Installed as a replacement and controls fan as needed for target humidity in crawl space. Note: it's a simple single pole switch. It breaks one wire. Best to wire it according to the simple diagram and not according to the unit it is replacing.

Worked a treat. Simple to install even though it had no instructions. Zinc plated it wont rust.

Works great and when used with a digital hygrometer, appears to be very accurate as well. I'm using it to control two vent vans in a large barn and hear it cycling on and off as necessary throughout the day.
