If I Could Reach You 1

A work in young love
A high school student lives with her brother and young wife, but has a secret. The wife is her first love and is torn between giving up on her feelings or telling her how she feels. But as the story progresses you see that the married couple are having issues and there may been something underneath still holding out. This is the start of a more in depth story as we see a young woman struggling with her own identity and drives, a wife who see more than she lets on, and a husband who is rather clueless. Add a friend who supports the main character, most out of morbid curiosity and a desire to see if she has the strength to actually confess, that the groundwork is set. Now this will take several volumes to build up the tension and story and i will see how it turns out in the end.

Confused
I was willing to give this this series a chance; it was .99 cents on the eBook edition. Overall, I'm not sure if it was worth getting. The art and pace are probably what I like most. Although the story isn't necessarily awful, I can't find myself rooting for our main character. There is also nothing "visually disgusting" in this volume, to my surprise. The characters are fairly dull and my biggest problem is that I can't tell if this is even "legal." Our main character is a high schooler liking an adult (married at that) and we aren't given an exact age for either one of them; probably at least a five year difference. That... is concerning. A "teacher crush" can be fine, and although this manga doesn't directly say it's okay for the age difference, it's highly implied that it endorses pedophilia. I haven't seen anyone mention this yet, and not sure if anyone has noticed. Maybe this is just the fault of the translation, which I find awful (that, or the writing is that bad). For example, characters say that it is okay to break the "mold of society" and defy what is "normal," an okay idea, but if referring to the age gap of our main character and her crush... no thanks. I would like to give this a 3 or 4 star review for everything else being intriguing enough, but I can't.

Such a lovely book. Wa
I love this story so much. I'm pretty sure we have all been here. Falling in love with someone we can't have but always still interacting with them which makes it so hard. I was so mad when Uta had a dream about Kaoru kissing her cause I thought it was real but no. Just a dream. Grr. Can't wait to read the next book.

A promising start.
I’ve been looking for a good Yuri manga series ever since I finished Citrus, by Saburouta. I’ve read a few one-shots, but wasn’t able to engage in a long series again. I tried Bloom Into You, bought the first volume, saw the entire anime, but that was it. I know a lot of people love it, but I thought BIY was very dry.Well, I decided to give it a go with this new series If I could reach you, by Tomonori. The first volume didn’t let me down. It’s a balanced mix of good story, depth and sweet expectation. It wasn’t dry and it wasn’t boring. It seems it has a good amount of story to develop ahead, so hopefully the author will keep it up in the next volumes. So far, 5 stars.

Beautiful Yuri
The book came well packaged and in good condition. Now for the content in the book. The story is about a young girl who has a crush on her brother's wife who has been the only adult she has felt she can trust. My favorite thing about this book is that they leave you wondering how things are going to work out for the main character. Most yuri books might show you a dynamic then jump down it but this one isn't like that. These characters are complex, they feel almost real. The main character has issues which has made her develope trust issues with the adults in her life with the exception of one who has been there for her. You understand why she loves her. The issues with the dynamic presented don't go ignored. You feel the anxiety of the character and the pain. This is full of sweet and sad moments. I can't wait to see what will happen next!

Couldn't enjoy it.
I can't really pinpoint what I disliked about the first volume, but it wasn't a strong enough start for me to finish it. The characters weren't very likable--any of them, really--and the story feels like a drag. I'm a big yuri manga fan and was really looking forward to this series, but I won't continue it now. I guess the story just didn't resonate with me.

Yuri , drama, and great pacing
This series is a great yuri drama. With multiple characters facing their own struggles and figuring their emotions out. Worth the read if you like character growth based plots

A slow, nuanced, but ultimately quite satisfying series
I love the emotional nuance of this series. This isn't exactly a sweet love story to give you a cavity while reading but it's a slow and sometimes heart wrenching exploration of the characters thoughts and emotions that ends up being quite satisfying in the long run. The author really develops the characters quite well, and every chapter feels meaningful. I think if you enjoy yuri like the Flowers visual novel series then I think you'll also enjoy this type of slow-paced story.

Good, wanting to read more!
For the first volume I’m kind of hooked & want to check out the second one! I love the art style and the characters. The MC is a little basic but I assume she’ll get more character development as the story grows.Theory after reading:I’m a little suspicious of the brother and I’m thinking he may do something like cheat. Though its hard to tell, it’s just what I am assuming. I want to keep reading and see how it all goes before I can give my full honest review.

Interesting yuri piece
An interesting setting with promises of a good light drama coming up in the following volumes.Theres a lil bit of humour but not enough to kill the mood.
