Magic in a bottle. Great on fine, thin, easy to tangle and break hair. Not greasy or heavy.

As noted by previous reviewers, it does smell a little Play doh-y, which I'm not mad at. I thought it worked just "okay" at detangling my daughter's fine curly hair and was willing to keep it and just try something new when done. But the product builds up in the hair after multiple days and leaves it even messier than usual. So I returned.

The product is effective, but it smells strange, in my opinion. I would describe the scent as play-doh? :(

This VIVAIODAYS Organic Tsubaki Kids Leave-In Conditioner & Detangler isn’t quite what I expected. It isn’t bad, but I don’t find it to be particularly great either.They say it is both a leave-conditioner and detangler, but to be honest, it isn’t completely amazing at either. I suppose it makes hair a little easier to brush if you spray a lot and provides some moisture, but I don’t feel it has much of a leave-in conditioner feeling. I can’t tell if it helps to strengthen hair. I would probably have to keep using over time to be able to tell, but it has some nice ingredients, so it very well might.The scent is a bit strange. It isn’t bad, but it is certainly odd. I smelled it and told my 5 year old that it smelled a little weird. She immediately smelled it and said, “It smells like play-doh, but that is okay!” At least she wasn’t completely put off by the smell. She lets me put this in her hair after her bath.I like the spray nozzle. I find that it makes a pretty decent mist, but the bottle is rather small- you only get 100ml of product for the current price of $13.75. I suppose it is kid-sized, but just not a great value for me.The product itself is watery and kind of a milky off white color. When I spray it on my hands, it feels kind of moisturizing. I also tried it in my hair. It maybe made my hair feel a little softer, but I don’t feel it helped to detangle my hair much.There are some things I definitely like about this product and brand.-Natural ingredients 88% certified organic and natural fragrance (though it doesn’t seem to specify exactly what that natural fragrance is)-No Parabens, Propylene Glycol, Silicones, Petrochemicals, Ethanolamines, Synthetic Dyes, Alcohol, Phthalates, Wheat/Nuts/Gluten, Synthetic Fragrance, GMOs-Vegan and leaping bunny certified-Darling horse design on the bottle-Good for sensitive skin-It seems to help tame frizz a little-100% recyclable sugarcane baby-safe bottle-They say every product sold funds children education initiatives around the worldI added some drops of organic orange essential oil to it to make it smell better. It does smell much better right out of the bottle, but the play-doh smell is still very predominant and lingers a bit when I spray on my hair.In conclusion, this may not be the product for my daughter and I, but it isn’t bad, and someone out there may love it. I still feel like this could be a very good brand and I would be interested in trying their other products simply because I like the ingredients and I have a feeling that they probably make some nice stuff.Anyway, I hope my review was helpful in some way, and if so, I would love to know- thanks!

The product really didn't seem to untangle my hair much while wet, for context I have extremely curly/long hair and also have pretty hard water in the shower. The leave-in conditioner didn't seem to do much to detangle and make brushing easier and smelled kind of like play doh to me. Ultimately, when my hair was dry it was significantly less frizzy and stayed that way even after sleeping. So for the price of the product, to have less frizzy hair for longer, it definitely seems worth it to me!

It has a good texture, smells good and it makes my hair feel and look good

This company says that all their ingredients are natural and pure, but I have to question the “Parfum” ingredient which they describe as “Natural Origin Parfum”. That is very vague. It does not smell “natural” at all to me. As other reviewers mentioned it smells like Play Dough. I would agree with that description, but it also smells a little “soapy” almost like an Avon-type scent or a little like Elmers Glue. It is not a natural essential oil scent and I am undecided if it is pleasant or unpleasant. I don’t exactly want to smell like this stuff, but it isn’t terribly unpleasant. I did however mark down by two-stars on my rating because of the weird smell. I nice lemon or floral essential oil scent would have made this a 5-star product.I didn’t want to give this product a terrible star-rating because it does feel nice on my hair. You can use it on either wet or dry hair. I am really glad it does not contain silicon (Dimethicone) or any of those nasty silicon-type ingredients. The main ingredient in Aloe Vera Juice, Kiwi Extract, and Glycerin. It does have Sunflower Oil in it which isn’t my favorite oil for the hair - I would have rather seen Coconut oil instead. Sunflower Oil can leave the hair a little greasy looking, but the amount in this product in minimal (so I did not mark down by any stars in my overall rating).I like that the bottle is made from recyclable sugar cane, but I am unsure how it should be recycled. It has either a number 6 printed on the bottom of the bottle which means it is not recyclable and similar to styrofoam. I have another product made from this company and it has the same problem. I am not sure if it can be put in the compostable bin. Also the spray bottle top is not removable so the spray bottle can not be reused. I have marked down by an additional star after thinking about this problem with the container.I would love to give this product a good review. I think it works well on my hair, but because of the scent and the unknown about the recycling on the bottle, I can not give it more than a 2-star rating....
