Nice faceplate for smaller jobs
I use this face plate for smaller jobs, where my 6" faceplate is too big. This faceplate is well machined and has no runout. i like the countersunk screwholes because it lets me utilize my woodscrews, rather than getting special screws for it. Because the plate is aluminum it can jam hard on the back, making it difficult to remove. I carefully tighten it till it registers on the back, but dont tighten it hard. There is no need tighten it strong as long as it registers, the two setscrews secure it in place.

Very well made machine specs look to be perfect.Threaded on the Lathe with tight tolerances.Nice to have two screws instead of one for reverse makes for more secure feeling when sanding some of the heavier vase.The eight screw holes make for a securer feeling compared to my old one that had only four.Remember gentlemen you get what you pay for and this is well worth the money.
