Functions as expected But they definitely work better on square buckets than round buckets. I have a bit of leaking on the round buckets no matter how much I try to tighten it to the bucket

Valves work as shown, however when installing onto a 5 gallon bucket, a gasket (which is NOT included) is needed because it leaks without one.

Overall this is a very good honey gate at a great price. As with ALL honey gates you must first make sure that you tighten the hinge screw before closing the gate and then tighten the wing-nut. I had one gate out of 20 that did not pass water seal testing. I removed the o-ring, wiped it off, coated it with a very thin application of food grade silicon grease, and re-installed it. Cured the leak! The seller has been great to work with too! Thanks for the extra o-rings! I will continue to get my honey gates from this seller in the future.

I have a bunch of these. They work okay. Not sure how long they will last but so far, they are working fine and a lot less expensive than some other types of gates.

So when you read a lot of reviews, they are frequently just opened up, used, and are at the products best.These gates leak, a lot. One of the gates I got was quite visibly warped. I'm 1 year in, so they've been used for 2 honey extractions and now more leak. I have 2 of the 5 that don't leak. They were quite easy to install so I'm so sad they don't work well.So, spend up. Otherwise you'll be like me and buying more anyway and hopefully I find the same size for my buckets current hole so I don't waste these buckets also.

I had to put some of them together. O rings pop out and leak. Also plastic nut strips easily. Cheaply made
