To begin, it shipped way earlier than expected, which was awesome. But as far as the product itself, the grinder is great quality. It feels very sturdy and has a nice texture, is easy to told and looks sleek. It's also SUPER quiet which impressed me! My dogs don't mind it at all aside from the fact that they don't like their paws being touched. The noise is almost silent so it doesn't bother them.Now, the bad. The nail clippers are much smaller than they look in the photos and I don't know if mine are defective, but they don't open very much at all. I don't even know if my Chihuahua's nail could fit in the opening. And as far as the grinder itself, it helps shape my big dog's nail but hasn't successfully trimmed it down. Then again, clippers don't even cut his nails because they're SO thick.Overall, a fantastic product that is high quality, quiet and sleek. I do think it will grind the nails of your average large dog, but if you're dog has incredibly thick nails like mine, it probably won't be strong enough. I don't blame the company at all, it's just that my dogs nails are like dragon claws.

The dremel works well, and seems to hold it's charge well. I charged it right after opening as suggested, and I haven't charged it since. I use it once every couple of weeks on both my dogs (an American Pit Bull Terrier and a German Shepherd Mix) and it's still going strong. I will however say that the nail clippers were a bit smaller than I thought they were going to be. Much too small for my dogs, so I'll just give them to a friend. Overall, I do very much like the dremel, and I like the little cloth bag it comes with (though it doesn't stay closed and could benefit from one of those little pinch balls). Noise level isn't bad at all. Not quiet, but not loud either. For the price, it's worth it.

Worked good as advertised, But It has a horrible switch. While trying to groom my puppy, I was trying to turn it on and couldn't get it to move. My pup is brand new to getting groom but when she is staying still, I flip the switch and there isn't enough grip to switch on. This is brand new to me and her, only tried for two days and she did pretty well today. So did I 😉. The first time I had tried a few days ago, her nail got caught between the spindle and plastic cover, inflicting damage. Just be carful not to do it at an angle. Work slowly when grinding down because it could cause harm or discomfort when starting to groom. My fur child was okay after trial and error. Remember they have to get used to it before they will trust you or the machine. Take baby steps and do one nail at a time. It's okay to do one nail a day at a time until they feel comfortable

I've been telling my friends about this nail grinder. I love it. It does the job SO fast and it is so easy to manipulate because it is very small and light. It is pretty quiet for a grinder. Before this, I was using a cordless Dremel tool to grind my dog's nails, and my parrots' nails. But the Dremel tool itself went dead. (It did the grinding ok). The Ruff 'n Ruffus is MUCH quicker than the Dremel on my dog's nails. (I have not tried it on the parrots' nails yet). My dog (a sheltie) is very compliant and she let me use the Dremel on her without issue, but for pets that are more sensitive to the noise, this grinder should help. The battery lasts a long time! UPDATE Dec 3 - I have now used this to file the nails of my crazy, nervous sun conure. It does a FANTASTIC job on bird nails, too!!! It went so quickly, and was so much quieter. My sun conure is usually very stressed by nail grooming and this was much easier for him. THIS TOOL IS THE GREATEST!!!! P.S. I now own two of these so I can keep the dog's grinder separate from the parrots. This nail grinder is an incredible value for the price.

Nice product. Trimming doggie’s nails once a month.Usage of the clippers in the box was not the easiest. Didn’t get used to it. It lacks sturdiness.Using only the motorized tool. Stone is not getting worn out.Overall satisfied with product. Good value item.

The grinder isn't very strong. The nail clippers are ok.

I was hoping to use the grinder so as to avoid tramautizing my dog. But 20 minutes in, and the grinder did nothing. The scissors were ok, but tended to splinter my dog's nails. This required going over the same spot two or more times. An overall average product. The price point would be excellent if the product was more effective.

I have a German Short-haired Pointer. The handle of the clippers broke the second time that I used them. The grinder is so small that I can't get my dog's claws in the hole.
