Great for the price

It does help with light blocking that this pole takes your curtain round to the wall at the ends. It's a slender thing but perfectly adequate for my blackout curtains. It is a telescope design so where the narrower extension goes into the slightly wider pole it does catch the curtain as you pull it across - it just requires a slight lift to move the eyelets smoothly

I was surprised how much I liked this once it was up. When it first arrived I wondered whether it was too 'small', lightweight etc. It didn't seem like it would be sturdy enough and looked quite 'fine' and delicate. But once it was installed I absolutely fell in love with it. I love how it looks. I love the rounded ends that enables the curtain to close in against the wall and really keep light out. It's great. Very sturdy and robust feeling. Would recommend. Really good quality for the price (I paid £21).

When combining this curtain rail with black-out curtains, the resulting light blocking is phenomenal (if set up efficiently) whilst being sturdy and sleek enough to simply blend into almost any decor. This Amazon Basics curtain rail is quick and easy to assemble and install, and the thin rail means practically any curtain can fit and slide asking easily. Although thin, the rail is decently strong and sturdy, and could easily accommodate the weight of extremely weighty curtains. The 'bronze' colour is very dark and honestly looks black unless under direct light (see picture 1). So if you want a dark curtain rail, but want to have something that has a slightly unconventional colour, bronze is the best choice.

This product was the result of extensive research. I needed something that blocks the sunlight from the corners and has a better finish than the regular poles from the shops. The price was fair and the delivery was prompt. The poles and fittings are durable and reliable. I have had them for over a year and I am very satisfied with my purchase.
