Excellent CAC reader! Works Perfectly.
The IOGEAR USB Smart Card Access (CAC) Reader works perfectly! Need it to CAC into federal government sites to do needed work and it works just like it's supposed to.

Excellent CAC Reader!
This CAC reader works wonderfully with Windows 7. Just plug in and windows updater installs drivers for it automatically. No need to download any home use software. To my knowledge though, Windows 7 is the only Microsoft Operating System with this capability. All older versions should require the use of middleware.

The Hardware is the Easy Part
I got this to access work websites from home on my personal laptop. The hardware, card reader, itself is the easy part. The software, to include the drivers and certs is another story. You will have to get those from your organization to get this to be functional. Don't give up. Seriously, it's totally worth it once you get it working. Just velcro it to the back of your monitor lid and you're good to go!

Works as advertised however it was initially very tight to insert and remove the card. It eventually loosened up.

Outstanding! It allows me to use my CAC-enabled Army websites on my Mac with my CAC card at home so I don’t have to drive to the armory.

I'm Army need this to do some work at home. Works great had no problems drivers installed automatically. Only thing had to do is go militarycac.com to install certificates make sure you read and follow all instructions. Easiest to use internet explorer

Works great on Windows 10 - no driver required. Worked perfectly in a Java-based application to communicate with the smart card.
