Playme 12-Key Xylophone

This is a high quality xylophone. It is tuned correctly. I can even play along with songs on the radio - that's how well tuned it is. I wish it had a larger range because it does sound so lovely, but for what it is, it is fabulous.

I bit the bullet and bought this expensive Xylophone after buying two cheaper versions that were just awful pitch-wise. This one seems right on and is built very solid. My only wish is that the sound would carry longer. I'd hoped that since it was wood it would have a longer sustain. But when struck, the note last about as long as a metal set. It does have a richer tone than metal though.

Sound is a bit high pitched, but item is well made. Pretty.

This xylophone is a beautiful, high-quality child's instrument. The tone is lovely and my grandson loves it! It will last for years to come.

The wood that makes this xylophone is unknown. However, it is sanded smooth, and feels like satin. The sound is a little... plinky. Well, it is wooden, after all.So, not a great deal of vibration, but a lovely learning tool

Of course, this sounds a lot better than your average "play" xylophone, but before spending $120, maybe take a look at real ones instead. Problem is that this model doesn't resonate to the degree that I would expect for the price. You can get a Lyons xylophone for $50 more.
