Childhood's End by Clarke, Arthur C. (1987) Mass Market Paperback

I enjoy Stargate Franchise TV and Movies, and I found out that this book helped influence the concept behind them. So I thought, why not take a look at an influence and I was not disappointed! Very creative narrative and I did not see the surprise ending and final to the book. Loved the older writing style of Arthur C. Clarke and I certainly know why he is a stand out author in his Genre!

I read this book as a youth, didn't have the impact then that it did now. I enjoyed it more this time and coupled with decades of life's experience and knowledge gained a much greater appreciation for Clarke's skill. The Overlords are a great representation of what some of our today leaders want to do with a one world government.

This book is so reflective of our current situation with cell phones and children. Frighteningly ahead of it's time.

Excellent book in very good condition. Well worth buying and reading.

Any scifi fan who has not read this book owes themselves the treat. A great read and challenges the reader on almost every page.
