Quiet and grinds beans well and fast!
I read quite a few reviews about coffee grinders. I always look at the negative reviews first. Most complaints for grinders I looked at were that the beans didn't grind finely or consistently. *USP* Although this one is about £10-15 more than others I looked at, there was one thing that stood out and convinced me, and that was the slanted angle of the cylinder where you put the beans in. This means the beans will fall into the path of the blades to a certain extent. It's important to realise that there is a degree of technique when grinding beans. *Pulsing the grind is better than continuous* The beans are so light, they get thrown up away from the blades. If you pulse the power button, they will fall down and get another grind. I think this is why most people who complained about other grinders were getting big chunks when they wanted a fine powder. Personally if I want a coarse grind, I press and immediately let go of the power button 20-25 times, with a second in between pulses. If you go for a coarse grind rather than a fine powder, it makes cleaning up afterwards much quicker. *Hold down the lid as it doesn't lock in place* The lid is quite light and if it gets dislodged between pulses, you can get coffee caught in it and make a mess when you remove it. Hold the lid down with one hand and press the power button with the other. *Tilt the grinder* Tilt or gently shake the grinder whilst grinding to make sure the beans get properly ground *Use a small brush* I saw other grinders came with a little brush. Not so with this one which is a shame. However I already has a suitable small brush and it is essential for cleaning after grinding. A small and round, soft makeup type brush would be best if you grind your beans to dust. *Quiet* The motor makes more of a high pitched whizz sound than a loud sound. It's a very quiet grinder, the beans make more noise than the motor as they are thrown against the clear plastic lid. NEGATIVES *Fragile lid* The lid is that type of plastic that cracks easily. It feels very thin and fragile. I think if you dropped it you would be sure to crack it. So as long as you are careful, you'll probably be ok, but it does look like it could be easily broken. As it isn't attached to the body of the grinder, maybe they are cheap to replace, but somehow I doubt it. *European plug* I was most disappointed that it came with a European plug and not a UK three pin plug. I do have an adapter, but that just adds bulk when plugging it in, and the adapters tend to be quite flimsy. When I tried the plug in one adapter, the plug was so loose it hardly stayed in place. Unfortunately the cord is not removable (and changeable) like most appliances. *Finished ground product* If you use the right grinding technique (see above), you can really get an even coarse or fine grind. Just pause between pulses. It really takes very little time at all. I think it accurate to say that any coffee bean grinder that has a rotary blade like this one, will give you an uneven grind if you don't pulse the blades. If the beans were being funnelled into a grinding wheel mechanism rather than being whacked by fast spinning blades, I think you could simply hold the button down for 10 seconds and then let go and get perfect results. So this gives the same result but, just takes a bit of technique. *Conclusion* So overall I think it is a cute little grinder. It's small, nice looking, quiet, fast, and it does its job very well. I'd probably knock half a star off for the negatives though.

Great little coffee gringer BUT…
I would have given this a 5* BUT!, the only reason i gave a 4* is because the USA to UK adapter it came with is in the wrong orientation, i have put some pictures to show what i mean, you can see the 3rd top prong for the UK fitting is plastic so the fitting for the USA fitting wont give power, so if you are looking to buy this grinder i would advise buying a extra adapter, other than that this is a great grinding maching it grinds the coffee beans super quick in no time at all, i definatly recommend it to anyone.

Bosch coffee grinder
The Purchase were really quick. It arrived with adapter to the UK tipe of sockets, it was a pleasant surprise at first, but unfortunately adapter doesn't work at all. However it's the only issue. Coffee grinder works good. I purchased it, as I owned the same before, it still works, but I moved and it's left there. So I decided to buy the same, in which I 100% confident. It works without issues at all. It never get warm after use, and productive. I would definitely recommend.

Excellent in comparison!
I compared 4 different electric coffee/spice grinders: - Krups F20342, - Amazon basics CG9403-GS, - Rommelbacher EKM-100, - Bosch TSM6A011W. I bought It to grind spices, I didn't test grinding coffee. Build Rommelsbacher has a brushed RVS finish, which looks nice If that's your thing, where the others have a shiny black plastic finish. But not in a really cheap way. They feel sturdy. Up to your preference. I personally prefer black over silver. Using It The "turn on" mechanic of the Krups & Bosch are similar and in my testing the best ones. They have a sliding button to press and turn on, where the other 2 had a press the cap mechanic. The AMZ has a hard time to close easily. It has a "press the cap" mechanic to turn on And because of that turning It on can also be a bit annoying. More on that next. Isolation Because of the press the cap design of the AMZ & Rommelbacher, they both had issues where the cap wasn't always properly sealed cause spices to leak and go in places you don't want them, also a waste. Only for this reason I won't even consider these ones. Internal compartment design AMZ has a very slick compartment without seams, which makes cleaning easier. It's the best one in that regard. The 3 others all have a bit of bent and a seam when the compartment goes from the plastic to the metal. Bosch is otherwise the only unique one because the compartment bottom isn't horizontal, but has a diagonal design. I'm sure that's to help the spices to move around more easily. Capacity Even though the AMZ supposedly has 30 gr vs the others 70/75 gr It wasn't such a big difference in practice. It was just slightly smaller. It had a level marking that was low. So I assume It's not so much the "space" that's the limitation, but probably more to do with the power of the motor If It's loaded up full. Grinder Concept of the grinder are all very similar with the main difference being that all of them have 1 wing up and one wing down, but Bosch has them both down and Krups has them both up. Performance The main criteria, how do they grind. Well, they all did the job, but not all as well. Both the AMZ & Rommelbacher had leakage in the wrong places. The Rommelbacher has the most power, but because of the compartment design, the performance really wasn't there. It only makes It the loudest one. It didn't do It better than the Krups. The AMZ got second place, because of It's smaller compartment, spices grinded quicker, but It also leaks, which is really a no-go. The Bosch is by far the best one. The quickest and finest results. The wings pointing down with the angled floor helped to keep the spices moving around better creating a quicker and finer grind. Pouring The Krups had the easiest pour thanks to Its very oval design. The Bosch and ROMMELSBACHER have some form of an oval shape to help pouring. Only the AMZ was completely round, which made pouring a horrible experience. Cleaning The AMZ has the most smooth compartment design, which makes It very convenient to clean. The Bosch is easy to clean as well because of the angled floor. The others were worse, with the Krups the worst one, because somehow the metal used caused for more stickiness of the spices. Price AMZ is with €17,50 by far the cheapest. Bosch, is with €25 about 50% more expensive, but worth It. Sometimes on sale for +- €20,-. Rommelbacher, is with €28,50 about 60% more expensive as the AMZ. Not worth It. Krups, wth €29,95 the most expensive and I have no idea why. Ranking & conclusion: 1. Bosch Best performance, smart internal design, classy looking build. No real negatives. 2. Krups In terms of general experience It's in 2, but with quite some negatives. Primarily of course because the performance for this price-range is sub-par. Took me twice as long to not even get the same result as the Bosch. RVS surface Is a bit more sticky vs the others, which makes cleaning a bit more work. But pouring was he best with the Krups with Its oval design. Design is overall similar to Bosch. 3. AMZ Price is great, this would normally be my no.2 If It didn't have the leaking problem. That really renders It almost useless for Its intended purpose. And pouring with Its round shape Is a challenge. Eveyrthing else is better vs the Krups. 4. Rommelbacher Most watts, powerrrr. But I didn't really see the results of It. Only more noise. It leaks easily (not as easily as the AMZ though) and at this price level that's just not good enough. It could be the best one for coffee though because of the extra power and loaded with beans I can see that being beneficial. With the courser bean texture It probably won't leak either. But that's all assumptions, I haven't tested It. Being the only one with brushed RVS It could fit your other equipment better.
