Tilta Nucleus-Nano II Wireless Lens Control System Wireless Follow Focus WLC-T05

I've never seen an Amazon order with damaged package like this.Now I can add it to the list but I digress.Unit performs well and connection is a breeze...... with some minor issues.1. In order to change the channel, you must double click the up and down button. Nowhere in the manual included explained this.2. You can only program 2 hard stops to set the range. No programmable stops.3. I don't mind marking the stops but the zero point should be painted with red.4. The Tiny LCD display shows travel from 0 to 1000 but it's just too small to be used as a focus mark.5. Focus motor should be able to handle most of the dslr and mirrorless lenses. However, any lens with bit more friction on its focus, this motor will struggle.Tilta Nano is not a traditional FF. These unit is designed to be used in run and gun gimbal setup with manual lens.What I don't quite understand is with some minor adjustment, Nano could have been a great FF. Adding a programmable stops and bigger fonts on display, Nano can be just that.Also with that packaging issues......

The system worked great, but I had to scour the Internet on how to use the thing because there was no instruction manual at all in the box. Was very frustrating and had me worried at times because already a FF is a challenging concept to get used to, let alone without a way to understand how to use it.

Excellent product for the price! So far I’ve had no problem with this device battery life is good and works exactly as it supposed to.

I like the little motor and I even like it more that it’s possible to connect the standard size Nucleus controller/fix to it. That said the unit I received kept cutting out. It would randomly refuse to calibrate and at times the screen of the motor would flicker. Right now I returned it but I think I’ll give a replacement unit a try. It’s apparently really important though to thoroughly test them because just a quick check wouldn’t have revealed the issue.

This is a cool product. Been using it on several shoots and it holds up quite well! There is a delay which is noticible but not annoying and the build quality is good for the price. I've used it with a sigma 18-35 with a d-tap to micro-usb cable for extra torque and it works perfectly!Overall this is a nice product as a low budget option.
