The book offers a lot of good tips and a good review to help you get more confidence in the way you solve the problems. It would be nice if the problems and soln throughout were separate so that you could practice and review the problems offered. I think the purpose of the book is to help you gain confidence and determine where your strengths are. I used the one they make for the FE exam as well. it was worth the purchase for me i dread these test and need all the guidance i can get on combatting test anxiety.

Formatting just wasn't my style. Written more like a regular book, where equations and problems are not seperated from the text. Kind of strange. I will not be using this during my PE Exam.

So far it has been effective on refresh my memory of college subjects and topics. Help me focus on the actual exam topic as outline by NCEES.

A very good Civil Engineering general topic refresher for exam. Also some good exam study/taking exam pointers.

So not worth it. You might as well buy the Dummy’s Guide to Civil Engineering.

This book does a great job at getting straight to the point. It provides well-explained example problems and tactics.

It goes very far in depth of how to solve the problems.Covers a wide range of information that you need to know.Very good refresher book.Shows a extensive way to break down the problem.Wide variety of problems.Definently worth the money!
