Great for my two Chi's!
Great for my two Chi's!I have two girls who LOVE treats. This keeps them busy for a while and its fun to watch them roll the tube around. I'm thinking of buying a second one so they can each have their own. It did take my youngest (5 years) some time to learn how to 'roll it' but the older girl (8 years) picked it up very quickly and has a blast with it. I put in my own homemade treat and sometimes tape over a few of the holes to make the game last longer... Overall looks like it will last a long time.

Toy is not safe
This toy was useless. Puppy chewed through the cheap plastic in 10 minutes, threw it in the garbage. Not safe.

Fun mind game for the dog, but poor material choice
Fun treat dispensing toy - my dog really enjoyed playing with it and figured it out fairly quickly. One thing I don't like though is that the orange material is much too soft. Left it just a bit too long with the dog and she tore it all up. I was very concerned that my dog might have ingested some of that material. Thankfully all was well and she has no ill-effects. The toy still works, though I never take my eye off of it when I have it out anymore. For that reason, I much prefer rubber products like Kong that I know my dog will not destroy and ingest within minutes.

Fun
My dog caught on to it very fast and loves it. However if your dog is a chewer like mine you have to always supervise (like the instructions suggest). I turned my back on her while she was playing with it to use my computer. When I turned around again she had chewed off most of the plastic coating on the bone-shaped top. It still works fine so now I only have her play with it when I can watch the entire time.

Pros and Cons
This is one of my dog's favorite treat dispensing toy. That said, I can see that this isn't going to be a favorite of many others. First off, my dogs are highly skilled treat toy manipulators. They enjoy a challenge. If your dog isn't familiar with treat dispensing toys, don't start with this one. Go with a JW Holee Treat Ball, a Mazee, IQ Treat Ball, Contempo Tessa or other easier toy before progressing to this. It's really neat to watch my dogs figure out that the treats dispense the fastest when they pick it up by the handle and wobble it around. My dogs are also not destructive so it suits our needs. However, I have given this toy to a few dogs who immediately chewed at and/or tore up the handle. It doesn't hold that many treats, but because it needs to wobble or be a specific way for the treats to fall out of the (perfectly sized) opening it still lasts awhile. It keeps my dog occupied longer than treat toys which hold twice the amount of treats, or larger openings. It is not at all hard to screw open or adjust, as one of the other commenters wrote. It amazes me that people give one star on something that is clearly user error. We love this toy and highly recommend it - but only if your dog is skilled at using treat/interactive toys, and is not destructive.

My 3 months puppy destroyed it in 1 week. ...
My 3 months puppy destroyed it in 1 week. She started to eat chuncks of the orange part. Not safe for her.

Fun Toy and Food Dispenser
My Westie has always enjoyed having to "work" for his food (we use a dry kibble) with various rolling food dispensers. We have one shaped like a dumbbell, one like a bowling ball, and one like a football. This was a nice addition to the collection. The holes are fairly big, so the kibble comes out pretty easily, but you can adjust it to the difficulty level you and your dog prefer by adding or removing the three rods on the inside. Easy to fill and to clean.

Dog loves it .. I hate it !
Returned two, finding no way to "adjust" treat-release rate, on the discs inside, as description indicated. Received third one, having been assured by very co-operative Customer Service reps, they were not defective, and were 'adjustable'. I tried everything short of deliberate destruction, but still found no way to make it "adjustable". Visited Trixie website, finally found info saying "screw-on cover makes filling and cleaning easy" ... would have been nice to have had instructions with toy that explained that ! Determined to either unscrew cover or break it in the attempt, it finally yielded, to the strength of 'do it or die trying' .... my clever dog, emptied it quickly on the easy setting... and subsequent attempts on my part to re-open the 'screw-on' cover, to adjust the rate of difficulty, have met with renewed resistance of the cover. It's made well though, and didn't break, despite flying out of my struggling hands, finally opening and dumping all the parts on the floor. I still have 'opening' issues with it, but the Dog LOVES IT !!

Weggegooid voordat onze hond stukje binnenkreeg.

Great concept but material doesn't withstand a chewer
Interesting concept! But my 9-week Lab pup chewed it up in the first go.... wish there was something more robust!
