Best option on the market, needs better hardware
At first I received an Aston Martin and I had to return it and took forever (about a month) to get the correct one. Item is made out of aluminum and really well built in my opinion. Mechanism to release the plate is sturdy and works properly. This review is for the ND Miata so this plate holder actually screws into the bottom of the fender (no need to drill, it reuses existing threads) problem is that the screws to attach the artifact to the fender were too long and it comes with nylon spacers (3/4") which were also too long, so I had to go and buy shorter spacers (1/4") and I decided I didn't wanted to cut the provided screws in case I needed to return these so I purchase a second set of screws in stainless steel to prevent corrosion and cut those to size.Upon further research, I believe the screws and spacers provided were designed for the Miata with the OEM front lip (which I don't have) so perhaps they could specify these details on the listing. After the good and the mistakes, here comes the areas were this plate holder could be improved (again this is okay, but someone spending close to 100 bucks for a "licence plate holder" expects nothing, but the best)1-Provide stainless steel hardware, preferably non-philips head. It could be hex or torx. This to prevent rust, deter people from stealing and better looks and just a plain old cross on the head of the screws.2-Include nylon washers to prevent scratching the plate or the back of the plate holder which comes painted in black, I know aluminum won't really rust, but I don't want my 100 dollar plate holder to have scratches.3-Provide nylon lock nuts to prevent them from unscrewing, I could use thread locker, but again also not included4-The plate holder only attaches to the top two holes of the plate, so the plate may rattle a little, this one may be the most difficult ask as it would considerably increase the cost as it would mean less number of plate holders per sheet of aluminum, but perhaps think of a plastic adapter that goes on top of the existing one?5-While the product is sturdy, it is attached to the bumper which (like most cars) is made of out plastic. This means that when you are driving the entire apparatus flexes back and touches the paint of the car which could potentially damage your paint. I added rubber stoppers like the ones used to avoid noise when closing kitchen doors or drawers. But some other solution, like making the lower plate bigger to prevent the flexing would be better

2020 Miata: Good seller, extremely frustrating product.
Seller is great: Product arrived very quickly and they responded very quickly to my inquiry. But getting this thing to work was a hassle and I wouldn't have gotten anywhere without a good review posted by another person.1) Instructions are terrible, as bad as I've seen. There are four pictures, that's it, and they look like black and white photo copies. "Fig 2" shows stainless hardware underneath when it's black screws they included, which is confusing if you've only got pictures for the install.2) "Fig 3," also showing the stainless hardware underneath, doesn't show the nylon spacers. I didn't even know what nylon spacers were until I read another review for this product. There's no description (parts list) and the picture doesn't show them being used. So I thought it was the wrong model I got since nothing lined up quite right.3) After understanding how the hardware is supposed to be used, it's not compatible. The nylon spacers are way too long, as are the screws, once you get shorter spacers. I went to Ace Hardware, who sent me to a bolt store, and then I went back to Ace Hardware. I was using pictures from the other reviewer I mentioned and neither place could match what he posted as the "correct" hardware, so I got different length screws that matched the thread of the included black screws and 1/4" spacers instead of the 3/4" they provide. After all that, it's still not a perfect fit; everything is attached well, but the plate pitches slightly forward. A 1/2" spacer might work better to help offset that a little. But after spending $90 on a license plate holder, one thing I absolutely expect is compatible hardware to be included, it's insane to me that they don't have that right. And there's little chance I would have figured that out if somebody else didn't write a great review that explained the issues. So definitely cannot recommend the product unless you go in knowing you'll have to take extra steps to make it work.

Easy install, looks great.
Installation only took a few minutes and it looks WAY better than my off center tow bolt bracket.

Seems to be holding up nicely. Nice to be able to take it off to wash the car.
