Set a monthly reminder to swap out the carbon and you'll be good to go. These are easy to switch and do a good job of keeping water clear. No issues at all.

Dimensions for AquaClear 30 Foam Filter Inserts
I’ve had a hard time finding the dimensions of the actual foam filter for the AquaClear 30 Foam filter inserts.. Here it is for those interested. 3 3/4 inches long, 2 1/4 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches deep. These are easy to use - rinse before using and then drop them in. They work as expected and arrived in good shape. Would purchase again.

Essential for healthy tanks
The foam, carbon, rock triple layer filtration is quiet and effective. The filters have to be replaced regularly and this is a pretty inexpensive way to keep your tank clean and healthy.
