♡Outstanding, Mesmerizing E.O. w/Great Health Benefits!♡
Vetiver is by far one of the most aromatic, interesting, exquisite essential oils I have ever smelled. I can easily see why vetiver is so often used as a base note in many perfumes. It smells so deeply rich and wonderful, unlike anything else. I would give this essential oil at least a 9 out of 10 if that was the actual scale. It's situations like this that make a 1 to 5 scale seem almost useless to properly express how good I think this product is.I've been planning on getting vetiver essential oil for months. If I'd understood what this oil was all about, I would've gotten it a long while ago. I was originally going to purchase this from Plant Therapy, one of my favorite brands, but I finally decided to go with Plant Guru, which is an excellent & reliable essential oil company. It was a good choice. When i first opened up my package and unwrapped the bottle, I really had no idea what to expect. I leaned in for a whiff and I quickly backed away with my face twisted in disgust. But I'm no stranger to essential oils, and I know first sniffs can be deceiving.I began to take several smaller whiffs of the vetiver, and sure enough, the scent completely transformed into something much sweeter and warmer, more complicated, dark & alluring than I could've imagined. I'm really genuinely impressed. It's difficult to describe what it actually smells like, but you'll have to take my word for it.If you're totally brand new to essential oils, this might be one that may take some getting used to. If this were my first essential oil ever, I don't believe I'd appreciate it at all.A simpler scent for a beginner is the usual mint, floral & citrus set. They're more plain in scent, rather than super potent, pungent and rich like Vetiver is.Vetiver is a very viscous, syrrupy, amber colored oil. It takes a few moments for the first drop to come out of the bottle, before it starts dripping out a bit faster, so be patient.Vetiver is actually a perennial grass with long, stiff thin leaves and fragrant roots that can grow over 8 feet in length. The essential oil derives from the steam distilled roots.Small pieces of the root are often placed between stored clothing to deter insects.♡Therapeutic Properties: Antimicrobial, antiseptic, antispasmodic, depurative, nervine, restorative, sedative, tonic.♡Therapeutic Uses: Stress-induced conditions, nervous tension, anxiety, stress-related menstrual problems, cramps, PMS, muscular spasm & pain, restlessness, depression, physical/mental/emotional exhaustion & irritability. So vetiver is excellent for women & menstrual-related problems, and those with mental illnesses such as Bipolar Disorder & mania, Major Depression, Anxiety Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, PTSD & OCD, for instance.Vetiver can also help those with learning disabilities like A.D.D. & A.D.H.D., workaholics, highly charged people, and those who have many burdens and stressors in their lives.Vetiver is excellent for people dealing with chronic pain, and chronic illnesses such as Fibromayalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and other auto-immune disorders. Many conditions and symptoms are complicated and interconnected, so it's usually best to care for your mind and body holistically. When used in salves, lotions and pain relief blends, Vetiver can help relieve the tension, spasms, soreness, stiffness & pain that is caused by stress and that perpetuates stress as well.It can also aid in sleep blends & insomnia, because of it's sedating & relaxing properties.Vetiver essential oil smells incredible when diffused! It's potent but never overpowering or too "heavy" in scent. Most essential oil scents don't last a considerable amount of time, but this oil is like no other! The sweet scent lingers in the air longer than any other oil I've diffused. For those of you using certain diffusers like waterless, heatless, plastic-less nebulizing diffusers (the best, most effective & healthy kind), make sure your apparatus can handle syrrupy essential oils... they usually can as long as you add them in a larger blend with less viscous essential oils. Without blending or without immediate cleaning afterwards, vetiver can clog up the motor and the glass tubes, so be aware of that. Here are some essential oils that are known to blend particularly well with Vetiver: Amyris, bergamot, black pepper; cardamom, citronella, clary sage, coriander, eucalyptus lemon, geranium, ginger, grapefruit, Ho wood, lavandin, lavender, lemongrass, mandarin, tangerine, Yuzu, May chang, sweet orange, peppermint, petitgrain, sandalwood, spikenard & valerian. .... I'd also like to add Vanilla & Cedarwood, the E.o.s I instantly blended with the Vetiver for diffusion. It smells wonderful, uplifting and balancing.I recently made a fantastic essential oil diffusing blend called "Dreamy Luxury." The pleasant scent makes you feel like you're almost floating from weightless relaxation..It truly eases the mind and body simultaneously. For me, that's very important because of the chronic pain I deal with. The mind and body are completely interconnected, and this experience has humbled me greatly. Here are the essential oils in the calming, "Dreamy Luxury" blend: Lavender, Mandarin, May Chang (litsea cubeba), Vetiver, Roman Chamomile, Blood Orange, and Cedarwood (cedrus deodora).I put this blend in a glass dropper bottle to store for diffusing, and it's running out already. Vetiver pretty much brings every essential oil blend to a whole new level. It's going to be perfect once I begin making perfume balms and oil blends.I also created my popular Comfort Blend, which is extremely helpful for those experiencing anxiety, distress, stress, aggravation, frustration, and anger. It's a roll-on blend which contains: Vetiver, bergamot, and cedarwood (cedrus deodora) essential oils with Apricot kernel oil. Once you rub it onto your wrists and pressure points, it really calms you down. It smells lovely and I love it. Please email me if you need the recipe.I strongly recommend this Vetiver essential oil from Plant Guru. It's simply outstanding, and I could see myself with a 4 oz. bottle of this one. It's amazing. The first whiff is still always a little weird, but then it transforms into aromatic velvet! I absolutely love it, and give it my Amazon Enthusiast's two thumbs up! ♡

Took a minute, but I love it!
I was definitely not impressed when I took my first sniff of it in the bottle. It smelled like "medicinal liquid smoke", BUT one thing I have learned is that even the most horrible smells in the bottles can often turn into something lovely when dropped into a diffuser. Lol, it's like magic! This vetiver has a soft, velvety scent that is delicious when diffused...sensual is another word which comes to mind. (It is most feminine when diffused). On the skin it smells of musk with some spice, warm and earthy, and lasts longer than any other oils I have worn. It has quickly become my favorite essential oil. I can't compare it to any other vetiver because I purchased this brand of it first and I've never wanted to look for it anywhere else. It is thick (according to my research this is as it should be) and I would recommend getting a glass dropper top for the bottle to make it easier to dispense. I would recommend it, period, and I will definitely be purchasing more!

Great quality, Smells Amazing, Wonderful for Grounding
Every time I wear this Vetiver EO, people compliment me. "Who smells good in here?" "Something smells very nice!" "What's that smell? It's so earthy and peaceful." Plant Guru Vetiver is high quality & I use it daily. A complex and grounding aroma reminiscent of patchouli, creosote in the rain, and "masculine" rose. Vetiver EO is naturally very thick and viscous, no matter what brand you use. That's an indicator you have the real deal! For comparison I went to the essential oil display at the health food store, I tried the Aura Cacia Vetiver. It smelled exactly like the Plant Guru Vetiver. In my personal blend for daily use the aroma and vibration of frankincense and vetiver is healing, centering, and grounding. A little goes a long way so this bottle should last a while. I recommend it to my friends and would buy again. Lovely.

Very thick vetiver, excellent scent essential oil. The best I've ever had.
Stop! Update 9•1•19I gave an inaccurate review on Plant Guru vetiver oil ... I actually put it aside unti the Clary Sage came and was awesome. I knew that I had to return to the scene of the crime. This essential oil of vetiver is excellent! Not only does it have a great scent, it is thick & dark & it does seemingly help to relax with other oils in a wonderful cocktail ... I LOVE this oil ...I think it needed to opened and breath because of its thickness o e I did the work of diluting a quarter of the oil with argan and sweet almond oilThis oil is outstanding Plant Guruoils have proven to be aContender. I'm sold!

He no longer had outbursts of anger and he listens so much better since we started using it
I recently bought this oil to make a blend for my son. Teachers were telling us to have him tested for adhd. I researched and found a blend that called for this oil, and for the past month, he had done a complete 180 at school and home. He no longer had outbursts of anger and he listens so much better since we started using it.
