Since the screw attachment on the bottom had both sizes included (insert), I was able to use this to attach to my tripod. Then, since I wanted to have control over tilt of my camera, I purchased a ball head attachment. So now I can have the perfect tilt toward the sky or ground on a level pan. Also, it is very easy to do a quick test at the fastest speed to confirm my starting and ending images before I start a slow 2 hour sequence. BTW, I've found that 30 degrees left to right over 2 hours facing south at night with a 14mm lens is about the exact speed you want in order to follow the moving stars. Not sure if anyone intends to use this for fairly accurate star tracking, but the end result definitely looked intentional. Also, I have a handful of the small USB charging banks, and they are a perfect solution to using expensive batteries. Never even went through the first one in a single night. Awesome product! Very happy with my buy!!!

Functions well enough as far as it goes, but I wish it had a level/degree of angle function. I use this for a lot of night sky photography and a level feature would help to figure number of degrees above the horizon. Other than that, it seems to work well. Hopefully it will hold up under frequent use.

I Really Wanted to Like This Product, Well Built and Quiet.However, It Does not have the ability to Continuously Sweep in any Range other than 360°It Also Lack the Ability to Configure For (Left to Right) or (Right to Left) in 360° Mode,Which needs to Include any (Degree °) Less Than 360° Mode.Thus I Have Returned this Product, But Do Look Forward to Ordering it Again When These Features are Added,The Hardware is There, A Firmware UpGrade That would Add These Features Would Be Much AppreciatedThe Designers Need to Come with Me on a Video Shoot ( VideoAZ.com )This Could be a Great Product!I Want to Add, that Tech Support was Friendly, But Stumped When I Explained the Issue.Also that the Vendor was Prompt Per Issuing a Refund

Overall I am very happy with this product. I actually tried to cancel the order right after i placed the order but amazon wouldn't cancel so I figured I'd still give it a go. From my reading the other reviews I thought it would be incapable of ever spinning beyond "one" rotation which is why I tried to cancel. To my surprise there is a setting which will allow all the rotations you would want. So given that feature I am keeping it. Yes the backlit display is pretty horrible and you have to be looking straight at it to see it. It's cheesy but still this thing works nicely and i love that it uses AA batteries over an internal battery. Recommended!!!

The great thing about this product is that allows you to really customize the speed and the direction, it's very quiet, and very smooth. It's easy to use. But, I think this product would be fabulous for someone with a GoPro or iPhone. With my mirrorless DSLR, at 3.5 lbs, it struggled. If I put it on a table it would tip over. It was OK on a tripod. I don't like that it's big, huge! With four AA batteries on, it's close to 2 lbs. You can only see the screen if you are looking at it at a 180-degree angle, straight line to it. The tiniest deviation from that and the screen just goes blank. Above all, what I did not like is that it has no feature to let you know it's done, and with out being right there looking at it at a precise angle, you can't read the screen. I don't like that 360-degrees is the maximum it can do. Good product, I think it will be one more generation before it's great! It's really designed for the casual user, not for professional use.

I’m very happy with the Movo MPT-20 for rotating my camera while capturing time lapse sequences. The only issue I found I was disappointed by is the screen fading in and out from different viewing angles. Usually when I use this I have it on a stand high over head and it is difficult to read the screen from below when it is mounted overhead. I guess it’s just the nature of an older display like this one has, but it becomes a hassle to readjust when it is mounted.
