These were a nice replacement for my old, busted oarlocks. The oars fit in quite snugly. This product seems sturdy enough to handle some abuse, so I won't have to worry about it on a rental boat. It doesn't come with hardware, but that gives you the flexibility to attach them however you see fit. For me, a few rivets did the trick.

These are oarlock sockets. When they arrived, I thought they looked good, but when I went to install them, I found a major issue. In one oarlock socket, one of the center holes was drilled too deep -- almost all the way through. A surprising quality issue in the manufacture -- something that your never going to be able to avoid when shopping online without photos of the specific sockets you are getting.. I think they will hold in my case with just 3 bolts instead of 4, but I would not buy again. Too bad, because this particular design seems uncommon.

Bushing is the true 1/2" no need to work them out, nice and smooth rowing

Exceeded my expectations

YMMV but the set I received was sand cast finish, not polished. Also, they're 100% NOT 316, and I'd put money on them not even being CF8M (the cast equivalent of 316) given a magnet test, they're magnetic enough to pick up them up with a refrigerator magnet, something even mildly magnetic CF8M likely wouldn't allow. Back to Amazon they go!
