It is sturdy and it balances well. The finish is good and It is perfect for my 5yr old.

This is exactly what I was looking for to help my children's posture while sitting at our piano. It blends in nicely with the high-gloss ebony finish and is simple to use. It just seems to be over-priced. If you look closely, the craftsmanship is just adequate and the mechanism that raises and lowers the foot rest is not exactly smooth or high-tech. Unfortunately, I couldn't find an alternative that fit the look of my piano as well as this. Would be a 5-star if not for the price.

I have a number of piano students under the age of 5 and this step stool is excellent. No more kicking my piano, no more playing with the pedals, and all the kids say it helps them sit much more comfortably at the piano. The only downside is the mechanism can lock itself and is very still to adjust. Hopefully after time that will get a little easier. Visually it looks very elegant and is easy to move out of the way when it isn't needed.

This little footrest is built like a tank. It is really shiny. Really. It adjusts easily, it is heavy enough not to slide around under the feet of my 6 year old who has the fidgets during lessons. Buy it.

I was surprised how hard it was to find a sleek (nice-looking/modern) adjustable foot stool for our piano. Our kindergartener started lessons and this was a necessity. I was disappointed by the lack of variety out there, and didn't want wooden. So I bought this one, despite the expense. It is lovely, just like the photos, and works well (doesn't slide around, stays put). I am very glad I went with this one, but still a little bitter about the high price. I guess when there isn't much to pick from, companies can charge what they want, lol. I recommend it if you want a stool that is modern and sleek and won't be an eyesore with your decor.

I am a professional piano teacher. I recommend this product. A great product and very useful for children ages 5-10.

Looks great and well made, but very stiff. It does not slide up and down easily so I have to pull it out from under my piano and pull with one hand while turning to knob with the other to raise it. Hopefully will loosen up after time. It’s not quite tall enough for my youngest students but works for about 90% of them. The function and look is great but perhaps not as practical for someone who has to adjust the height frequently.
