Table Umbrella Hole Ring and Plug Cap Replacement Part for Outdoor Garden Glass Table (2 Inch - 1-Set)

I left my patio table umbrella open in a windstorm. The table got flipped--but luckily didn't break. However, the ring was destroyed, and the umbrella a total loss.Before then, I hadn't even known that you could buy a replacement ring separately. This easy-to-install replacement, softened up and popped in easily after sitting in boiling hot water for just a couple of minutes. Now it is solidly installed, and isn't coming back out. The plug fits neatly when not using an umbrella--and my replacement umbrella should come today.Thanks for saving me having to get a whole new patio set!

It took a little patience getting it in the hole of the table, but once I did it fit snug and works great.

Worked great but had to put it in hot water to make it pliable enough to put in table. No instructions came with it

Easy to use. Following the suggestions of putting in hot water really does help to make it more flexible. Easy installation!

The product is excellent for protecting table glass and supporting the umbrella pole. Installation of it is a bit of a learning curve--use very warm to hot water and immerse the ring until it is soft and VERY flexible. Do this outside on the table next to the opening in the table. Then promptly bend down the entire bottom fin of the ring so it will completely pass through the opening and re-straighten for a perfect fit. It might take a couple of attempts to get it right so be sure to immerse it in the warm/hot water each time to assure optimal flexibility of the ring. It cools and re-hardens quickly. Very nice product!

The material of this hole ring is very tough and non pliable, so when I first tried to install it into the glass table top hole I couldn't. I had to make several cuts on one side of the ring, shown in the photo labeled "Cut Side from under table" (leftmost photo), and with that I was able to install the ring, in the end using a screwdriver to finish the installation. The top side looks fine, see photo "Top of table ring not cut" (middle photo), and I included another photo of what the ring looks like from the top with the plug inserted (rightmost photo). All in all I'm happy with the product. The toughness of the plastic should make it last longer and protect the table glass from the umbrella shaft.

Very happy with the product. It is exactly what I need to replace brittle original. It was helpful to know from the review that it becomes pliable and easy to use once it was warmed up in hot water.

I was able to heat it in hot water to soften it so that it could be inserted without breaking the glass on our table. It fit perfectly and we now hove a spare.

Perfect replacement table now looks as good as new.

The product was slightly different to what I required to fit my patio table but I adapted it to fit the umbrella hole and it works. the product seems sturdy enough and hopefully will take longer to become brittle in the sunshine/ weather .

For those without a degree in DYI suggest help how to fit as the hole and ring are the same diameter.
