A Family Favorite!
This is the kind of tapioca that I grew up with and when I make it, there's never any left! I'm going to start making a double batch so the family can have some the next meal!

I've become one of you!!! and this is much easier to make than using package directions.
This is great tasting tapioca, but I followed my instincts to make it. I did soak a half cup of pearls in water overnight, then drain in the morning as required in every recipe. The package said to let it cook for an hour, and slow cooker recipes said 2 hours. Well, I decided to just put everything into a saucepan: the soaked tapioca, 3 cups of lo-fat organic milk, 1/4 tsp of salt, 1/3 c sugar (sugar sub. splenda), and the eggs. I wisked well, and heated it to boil, (stirring constantly, it took less than 5 min.) DONE! I like it chilled so I put it in the frig.It tasted really good, and I may add some different flavoring next time like maple ext., lemon, or maybe fresh mango etc. Now for the texture. Although it was very good tasting, I am used to the regular sized instant tapioca and I must be honest, I found the large pearls a bit chewy, and the result was not as pudding-like and creamy as usual. I think I prefer the smaller sized pearls for pudding.UPDATE: I'VE BECOME ONE OF YOU! I HAVE MOVED TO THE LARGE PEARL WORLD!!! After making this large pearl tapioca several times I am now craving it! I have abandoned the regular instant kind for this and will not go back! The taste, and yes, the texture are so good it is hard to believe I could have settled for the other kind. Thank you everyone for your great reviews that led me to try this in the first place!

Makes beautiful pudding. Soak “instant” granules for a few minutes before cooking.
My husband and I both love home-made tapioca pudding flavored with fancy gourmet vanilla. I turned to Amazon after supply chain issues caused tapioca to disappear from all the local store shelves. I’d always used Minute Tapioca in the past, but most vendors were price-gouging that brand so badly that I thought I’d try Reese’s. I discovered that Reese’s instant has somewhat larger, harder granules compared to Minute Tapioca, and that I needed to make a couple of small adjustments to my recipe. I soak the Reese’s granules for 15-20 minutes before cooking and use a little bit more than I would if I were using Minute Tapioca. The result is beautiful pudding, with a slightly chewy, “bubbly”texture. Very nice!

Solution for soupy tapioca - and yes, it really is 'amost' instant.
I've been making tapioca pudding 'forever'. I absolutely love it, and now that I have to up my calcium intake, this is a great way to do that. I think I have the solution to the runny / soupy tapioca people have been mentioning with this product. The problem isn't the tapioca, it's the freakin' recipe they have on the back! It calls for 3 cups of milk for 3 tbsp of tapioca. That's Way toooo much milk. I checked my old Minute Tapioca recipe plus a few others on the net, and it's supposed to be 3 tbsp tapioca for 2 or 2 1/2 cups milk. NOT 3 cups. No wonder it's soupy! I think if you experiment with using less milk, you'll come up with the creamy thick pudding everyone remembers. And yes, granulated tapioca really is almost instant. I can make it while I'm cooking supper, and it's ready for dessert. Soaking it for five minutes is a snap compared to the large and small pearl tapioca that you have to soak anywhere from 30 minutes to overnight. Plus, I like the smoother texture of the granulated. Eating large pearl tapioca really is like eating 'fish eye pudding!' :-)

Large Tapioca Perals
The price was great. The pearls were a little larger than what I thought they would be but after cooking them, they made the creamiest and fun tapioca. I did follow the tips about soaking the pearls first and then cooking it in my hotpot.

Excellent product, great value, tasty pudding
Top choice for fast tapioca. Less expensive than Kraft, and the quality of Reese is as good or better imo. Here's my recipe for Chocolate Tapioca Pudding...1 egg, beaten3 cups milk1/2 cup sugar3 Tbs tapioca granules2 Tbs cocoa powder (more if you like it darker)1 tsp vanilla extract (added after cooking)Stir together all ingredients in saucepan and let stand 10 minutes (cocoa powder will dissolve later as it cooks). Cook over medium heat, stirring CONSTANTLY until pudding foams up. Remove and stir down and return to low heat and continue cooking until at a steady boil (about 5 more minutes). Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Transfer to a glass bowl and refrigerate. (Tastes great warm also).

Sometimes hard to find
I have a couple fruit dessert/salads that use the pearl tapioca. I prefer the large and in my area can only find the small. I now have enough with this six pack. Fast service. Thank you
