Don’t buy. Save your money
If you look in the picture my knife broke before it ever even was sharpened. I contacted SOG to try and get them to fix my knife and they said normal wear and tear isn’t covered. I opened my knife and heard a rink then the pieces you see beside the knife fell out and the blade opened past where it should have. As the photo shows the blade is now as useless as SOG’s warranty. I am a knife collector with over 200 folding lock blade knives and have never had this happen before. Buy Gerber instead. Same price point and I have had some for about thirty years with no problems. Looking through the magnifying app on my iPhone you can see imperfections in the metal where it broke. I am a machinist and welder so I know metals. Instead of SOG the name should be POS because the knife and the warranty both stink. I doubt that this review will be posted because it’s a little to honest. By the way you all know that one star is the lowest rating you can give and trying to put a minus sign in front of it doesn’t work.

Good deal when it's priced correctly.
I purchased this knife from amazon with a price of $10, and got a $1.50 SOG discount during a promotion, so it ended up being $8.50. At that price, this is a an acceptable knifeThe good:* steel is of moderate but acceptable quality* the grips are very textured, and don't slip* pocket clip is tight* knife is small enough to carry easily, but big enough to perform most tasks* locks open solidly* opens with one hand, but not too easily, won't open accidentally* at $8.50, I won't be too upset when I push the limits with this and destroy itThe bad:* wire stripper function is pretty useless* factory edge was dull* could use more aggressive jimping and a finger-protecting choilThis isn't a knife you lovingly clean and sharpen and enjoy using. I wouldn't buy one for $25, but at $8.50 I grab this when I might do something a little destructive.

Not really ambidextrous
The quality of the knife is very good. It keeps an edge very well and is a convenient size for an every day knife. The only problem is that the knife, though advertised as a knife that can be adjusted for left handed use, it isn't. Switching the belt clip worked perfectly. I ran into a problem, however, when I tried to switch the thumb stud to the other side. The screw for the thumb stud is supposed to nestle into a groove so that the head of the screw is flush with the blade. When switching to the other side there is no groove for the screw. The problem is twofold. The screw head is not flush with the blade, and the screw is not long enough because of it. So you cannot truly make it a left handed knife.

SOG - knife from China
Came with a decent edge, solid lockup, and I like that when it closes...it stays closed. (unlike much more expensive knives i own.)PROS:-Very lightweight.-Tight pocketclip (may be a con to someone else)-Decent steel-Solid lockupCONS:-Tip came blunted-not a very good facotry edge but it was okay.-steel isn't the best-Just didn't feel like a good value for $ spent. There are cheaper knives like SRM (sanrenmu) which are cheaper and I like much better than this knife. Better steel as well. The steel on this is workable, but still not impressed.I used to sell knives and have sold hundreds...didn't expect a blunted tip from SOG.-all in all its a "decent" knife, but I would recommend spending a little more and get something from Kershaw knives, like the Kershaw skyline. Not worth $20 in my opinion, but if you can get it really cheap then it might be worth it.

Disappointing
This was in inexpensive option to try out a brand that I thought was good quality. SOG should reconsider offering this knife. It is poorly designed and made. Mine was so stiff that it takes two hands to open.

SOG knife
Little bit light duty, but fine if used for light duty trimming, cutting.

Great Knife, Not So Good Cable Stripper
Great pocket knife for the price however the cable stripper section of the handle doesn't really do such a great job. Bought one for one of my employees and he had some issues with it. However, it's done great other than that for him
