Left Handed Manual Can Opener, Orange Handle

My partner told me that left-handed people can get hurt using right-handed kitchen supplies, so I searched for left-handed kitchen items she could use. I've seen her struggle with the right-handed can opener every time she uses it because who wouldn't struggle with their non-dominant hand?I bought this immediately, and it came within a week. I originally planned for it to be a stocking stuffer but I'm terrible at keeping surprises hidden (I love seeing people happy and get too excited LOL). I gave it to her and SHE BOUNCED OFF THE WALLS SHE WAS SO EXCITED!!!The object itself is wonderfully sturdy. The laser engraving of "Lefty's" looks so professional even I was shocked at the quality. The metal is pristine and so sharp it gets the job done before you can say Monkey's Uncle. Maybe say it a little slower than usual ;). The handle is wonderfully sized, easy to hold on to, and exceptionally easy to operate. It's bright orange so she knows which one to grab as soon as she opens the drawer. The movement of the device is fluid and well-lubed. I can tell we'll have this one a long, long time and I'm thankful Lefty's exists. Thank you Lefty's!!!

This is the only can opener my left handed daughter can use. She says it is very easy to use. When this gets worn down, we will get another one.

My left handed daughter loves it. She shows it to her left handed teenage friends when they visit and their minds are blown.My mind was blown by the cost. It was expensive. The quality was not as good as the Made in the USA that I buy for typical right handers. There are plastic parts in the crank. I break those.My tiny teenage daughter does not have a problem breaking things. So, for a niche product it gets four stars. If I was to rate it on merit, it would get less. I wish Made in the USA or Swing Away had a left handed model. I would buy theirs. They would cost less and be made in America too.

Finally ! I can open cans without having to think first ! My left handed self is happy !

It lasted 2 cans then broke very happy with quickness of it arriving very unsatisfied with the quality of the product

This opener is not very good. I have two left-handed offspring. One prefers to use our much better swing-away that I bought years before, even though he is left handed. The other can't manage that, and uses this one but it doesn't work as smoothly.

If you're left-handed, you need this can opener. It makes all the difference!

My husband is a lefty who has struggled to exist in a right handers world his entire life. By no fault of his own he has almost ruined my right hand Can Opener and struggles with it every time. I got him this Can Opener as a little I love you gift not sure what to expect but knowing it had to be better than the struggle he had been dealing with. Little did I know he would be so excited to use it every morning for our dogs breakfast. The wonder that he felt at not having to struggle to open a can and see how it “is supposed to work”was worth every penny. The fact that he continues to enjoy using it is just a bonus. I highly recommend this product.
