A MUST HAVE for,literally,anyone. I have always wanted soemthing,EXACTLY,something,this. It looks great and is surprisingly functional.This fits tightly into the drain of my kitchen sink.Despite it being a push to close stopper, things weighing down on I doesn't seem to stop it from draining.It is very easy to reach down and lightly pull up the stopper when the sink is full.It drains,surprisingly fast and stops any food from going down the drain.In the event something makes it way through, you can easily clean this by unscrewing the push pin.

My other stopper you had to twist to close & it didn’t always keep the water in the sink. This works great. All you have to do is push down & pull up. The water stays in the sink every time! Love it!

I looked for a combination strainer/stopper for my Insinkerator garbage disposal - depending on your sink I'm not sure this is a good general-purpose solution. After trying several brands, for my money this is the best style - with one criticism.As a strainer this is 5*. It lets water flow quickly and catches food rice size and bigger that I prefer to dump in my compost bin, and prevents having to dig spoons, etc out of the disposal. Does not stick up above the sink drain, easy to remove for dumping out food and easy to clean. Great!As a stopper I rate it 4* because it lets water leak through very gradually. For washing dishes it's fine but if you want to hold water for an hour or more to defrost a chicken you can't rely on it. Problem I solved easily with a cheap backup stopper, but still disappointing.One other glitch is that it is not perfect when switching from stopper mode back to strainer. I have to lift the whole thing out of the sink (easy), pull the strainer up (easy), then place it back without applying too much downward pressure (easy). Maybe 5 seconds to do, but it might irritate the perfectionist in you :)

I like it a lot, great design, fits well.

A few issues: although it fits snugly in my drain with insinkerator disposal , it does not seal well enough to function as a stopper (water leaks out of the sink. It is impossible to pull up the knob to use strainer function without pulling the whole thing out, so I can only use it as a strainer with it sitting loosely in the drain. The slots of the strainer are big enough for food particles to slip through, and they get stuck between the upper stainless steel portion and the rubber portion below-making it hard to keep it clean without taking it apart. I used it for about a week to give it a fair trial, but I have abandoned it in favor of a very inexpensive stainless steel drain basket, which keeps food and utensils from slipping down the drain, and a rubber drain cover for when I need the drain plugged. It might work as a stopper on some sinks, and the strainer will prevent utensils and large food particles from going down the drain, but is inadequate for smaller food particles. I don’t recommend this product.

For water to pass by and stain the strainer is too high defeating the purpose. But seals so tightly I can't remove it to clean the strainer

I ordered a spare!! This is the best ever. Have been looking for years for a product that would hold water and strainer in one. This is it!!! Not cheaply made either. Five stars!!! Plus

Este producto es de muy buena calidad y tuvo el diámetro justo que yo necesitaba, pero su produndidad no fue lo que yo requería, era más profundo, así que no me funcionó y la tengo guardada. He pensado modificarla para darle uso, quizá lo haga. Los orificios de filtrado son mucho más grandes de lo que yo requería, por lo que mucha comida o desperdicio se podría ir por el desagüe.

I've been buying a cheap version from HDepot, and the metal looking coating has peeled off mostly and looks terrible and was disgusted to wash lettuce or food in a sink full of water. This fits perfectly in my insinkerator slot, and works great, and doesn't look or feel like a painted finish that would peel. I am very happy with this purchase!UPDATE: I've been using this piece for about 5 months now, and it still looks great and works great and I'm still so happy to have it! Only small thing is that every so often you have to screw it tighter as it loosens over time, but that's minor.

The products works like a charm as intended. No more struggling with screw-in type drain plugs, just pop up and away the water goes.If you know someone with a strong arm, have them push down on the plug as hard as they can 3 or 4 times. This will set the rubber that prevents water leakage to the shape of the stainless basket. Otherwise you might have minimal water leakage for a while until the rubber sets itself.The product has an excellent build to it, I recommend.

This is a well made and smartly designed product that works very well. Certainly better than the original stopper. It looks like it will last a long time.
