Are these pans safe to use in a microwave?

No. They will start a fire. Only use them in an oven.

Any problems with scratching? Can you use metal utensils on these and not leave scratch marks behind?

I've had for over a year now and just love them I purchase red.. What an improvement over the old silver ones. I have only used rubber spatulas so I can't answer if you can use metal utensils.

How were these packaged when you received them? Didnt look like the previous products i ordered from this company.
