Works great with our old DVD player!!
Had some trouble getting the sound to work on the TV with the new remote. Kept trying different buttons on the remote and some how the sound started working! Not sure how it happened but just happy the sound works now!

Good replacement for OEM Sony remote
While I never had the original Sony remote, this product enables a hand me down Blueray player to function correctly. Quality appears to be good. Uses two AA batteries.

Same as the original remote minus Sony Imprimatur
If this looks like your failed original remote, it will most likely work with your Sony surround system. My power button on my Sony remote quit on me after 12 years and this this $7 controller saved me hundreds by not forcing me into a new sound system purchase. Only difference between the two controllers is the absence of the Sony logo.

EXACT FIT REPLACEMENT OEM
The OEM one on our surround sound Bluwray player finally just crapped out. So nice to find the EXACT replacement still in stock online. Nice price too. Awesome.
