Good highlighter, but no ink cartridge included
I ordered this refillable highlighter to use with bottled fountain pen ink to avoid having to go through so many disposable highlighters. So far, it looks like it will work well for that purpose. It's a little wet at the end of highlighted lines and thus will bleed in those spots a little on copy paper, but the highlighter tip works well, the snap cap is convenient, and it's comfortable to use. I also like that I can convert it to an eyedropper for maximum ink capacity. However, my highlighter did not come with a Platinum highlighter ink cartridge. Luckily this wasn't a big deal for me, since I also got a bottle of Noodler's Firefly with it and had a Platinum converter, but $10 is too expensive for a pen that doesn't come with an initial cartridge of ink. In addition, the highlighter was just rattling around loose in a box that was too big for it, without any other packaging. So I'm happy with the highlighter itself and how it works, but the included materials and packing left something to be desired.

Not bad, a bit wet.
I like this highlighter. I haven't had a chance to refill it yet, but I will be trying it with other inks in the future. As a stock pen, it is a bit wet, though I don't have much of a problem with bleed-through in my Bibles.Sharpie highlighters appear a bit brighter in this yellow color and have a more broad tip, and leave less wetness on the paper at the end of each stroke. But these preppy highlighters are no slouches either, and are certainly far from the worst I've ever used. They make a fairly close second to the sharpie branded ones. However Sharpie highlighters wear out quickly and either go dry or the tips go bad, and you have to chunk the entire thing when this happens. I 'm not a fan of this.If the tips don't wear out too quickly, I can see myself having a long, long relationship with this highlighter. It should save money and lots of waste in the long-run, considering how much highlighting I do in Bibles and reference books. Highly recommended for anyone who uses highlighters regularly.I also recommend you have a look at Noodler's highlighter inks and the replacement tips for these pens as well.

Tip dried within a week
I had a very similar marker but the tip of it had dried completely over a few months I hadn't used it. I decided I wanted a replacement after not being able to highlight for a while and decided to purchase this.At first, it worked very well. I thought the whole cartridge system inside the marker was pretty cool (wasn't in my first pen) but the free cartridge hardly lasted me a day (I highlight a lot). Anyways, after I used up the cartridge, I took the cartridge out and I refilled the pen as I had done with the previous preppy marker many times before and used it for a few days (not even a week) until the tip had dried.I was really surprised because the tip of my previous marker did not dry until a few months of use. Even then, once I soaked up the tip, it would usually last me a few days until I had to do it again. This one, on the other hand, dried up in less than a week of use. I take the cap out when I use it and put it back in when I don't. I was really confused as to why it dried up so fast.Anyways, I used the old method of soaking it in hot water. I even got it to boiling water because it wouldn't stop drying after soaking it in water. I would use it during the day up to the night and wake up to find it dried again. Soak it in water in the morning before going to school, use it up to the night, and then wake up to find it dried yet again.Everything else except the fact that the tip of the marker drying was perfectly fine. Shipped in time. The marker looked great. The free cartridge is nice. The tip just dried ridiculously fast.Literally, about 10 minutes ago, I lost the tip while taking it out to soak it again in water because it was dried up. As soon as I couldn't find where the tip fell, I just got even more frustrated and came on here to tell everyone else coming here thinking about purchasing this marker.Maybe your experience will be different. Maybe you'll receive one with a tip that does not dry up as fast as mine did. I'm just telling you what happened to me. Anyways, at the moment, I'm looking for a replacement for this... I'm very disappointed. I was so excited when it had arrived :(

not as good as noodlers' modified
I got this highlighter along with one from Noodler's. The Noodler's modified sharpie has a much tighter fitting cap along with a much tighter spring in the cap as well, providing two much better seals than the Platinum Preppy. The Noodler's should stay wet far longer due to the two much better seals. I'd go with the Noodler's if possible.(Note: I swapped the chisel tip from the Platinum Preppy to the Noodler's modified variant in the picture included.)

Worth the money, buy the refills!
By far the BEST highlighter I EVER used! I love how it snaps in, can get refills (saves money) doesn’t fade, point stays in shape. I use it every day all day, cap off all day and stays bright. Took me a sec to figure out how to snap it in but super easy! It’s my favorite highlighter! I own 3 and now just bought 2 more packs of refills ... GREAT PRODUCT! Also I use a very fine point pen to write on over the highlighting after I highlight... dries fast and doesn’t smear!! I love this thing, and can’t say enough about it!!!

Nice high lighter
Nice high lighter, I like that it is refillable. The product was sent in a box about 100 times too big, and there was no padding, just the poor little penrattleing around in this big box. It is a testament to the pens durability. 5 stars to the pen, negative stars to the vendor.

Great Hilighter
Great refillable hi lightning. You can refill with a syringe if you want or buy cartridges. The tip is pretty hard so these will last a long time.

BEST EVER!
Yeah, buy this one. Works well with cartridges or buy o rings and silicon sealer and convert to eyedropper fill. I buy noodler's blacklight reactive inks just for fun.
