UTAC RAS RIS Rail Mounted Tactical High output 245 Lumen LED Flashlight w/ Laser Sight, coiled remote pressure switch & Batteries installed

This product earned a three star review on the quality of the light source. It is very bright and clear. For me it was worth the buy simply for the light source.It comes with a pressure switch activator, which you don't have to use. The port this cord plugs into is shallow and the prong on the cord does not seat properly. It works, it just doesn't seat all the way in. It doesn't affect the performance I just don't like the way it seats. I don't have any suggestions to remedy this.The laser has some issues. It has a rudimentary adjustment system which has a limited range of adjustment. This was used on my Remington 870. The offset between the barrel and laser was too large for the range of adjustment to compensate for. I'm still working on how to fix this.On the positive side the unit has four settings light only, laser only, light and laser and off.This is a good product for home defense guns, but don't expect to get a wide range of target distances out of it. If your looking for something to engage targets in the 0 to 5 yard range, this might be the ticket.UPDATE:03/25/13 I've had this Laser/Light for about 4 months now and have had the opportunity to send plenty of rounds down range. What I've learned is:The mounting clamp is too light for a heavy recoiling firearm.There really is no solution for the limited laser adjustment.

I thought this would be nice for a tactical shotgun I was putting together. I figured the coiled pressure switch would mount on the forend and allow me to rack the gun but no. If you point the gun upwards the switches plug falls out. Try to rack the gun, the plug falls out. So I mounted it without the switch and went out to shoot. First shot, battery cover comes off. Batteries and cover fly back in my face. After finding all the parts and inspecting I reassembled the light and paid very close attention to make sure that it was together properly. second shot, battery cover and batteries fly off again. Third issue is the mount is horrable. Very cheap plastic allows it to move all over. All in all if i needed a light for a bb gun and did not care about being able to use the pressure switch and poor mount then I might pay $10 for this setup.

I was debating a couple option, mainly the surefire light/laser combos but they are EXPENSIVE. I saw the low price on this, as well as the specs, and decided to try it. This product is great! Super bright light. Laser works fine. It even comes with the remote switch. Very easy to attach. It is snug. I dont need any special adapter (on my HK45). I can jerk and shake it around and it doesn't rattle.Now, I have NOT had a chance to take this to the range to make sure that this thing stays accurate. When I get a chance to do that I will update this.The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it does not have a strobe function.(This is my first handgun light/laser I have ever used)

Well lets start off by saying that this is a prime example of the phrase "you get what you pay for" but with a upside. First of all, I received the package on time and in well working condition. The flashlight works perfectly and is super bright, ideal for self-defense/home protection. The laser is also very bright and seen in 50+ yards distance. Once I put it on my Beretta I was instantly content with the look and the sturdiness. Now for the only bad part about this device...I took it to the range for the first time and the back of it popped off. The part that covers the batteries, it just kept popping off every time I shot. I'm not complaining though because I read the reviews before ordering and I knew this would happen. Now I'm just trying to find a way of securing the back and I'll be good to go. My advice, if you care, is that this is a good flashlight/laser combo for the price and fits well on a full-size handgun.

I have had problems finding a tactical light for my 18.5" 12G pump shotgun other than an expensive integrated front-end. This product looked like the ideal solution, plus I got a laser indicator! However, (1) the rail mounting system can't handle the recoil on my 12G and I am going to have to cement it to the barrel-mount I bought expressly for this light; (2) the connector from the remote switch into the light body will not remain reliably attached (more cement); (3) most seriously, the selector switch (off, light, laser, light+laser) has a PLASTIC shaft into the switch itself - my selector broke off within about two days. The switch is always the weak point, yes? So, I drilled a hole through the external knob and down the center of the plastic shaft and inserted a glued #4 x 5/8" brass screw to (a) restore function and (b) avoid a repeat. Quite a bit of make-do to avoid four-times the cost for the integrated front-end. IMO, this is an excellent design - lumens for the size plus a laser, but unless you have a very constrained work space like mine, I suggest you go elsewhere.

What a piece of junk! I would give this half a star for the ease of installation and pulsating flashlight feature. But other than that it is stuff you'd find in the bottom of a litter box. Two of the settings are the same (or don't work). The red laser was very bright for 45 seconds - LITERALLY 45 seconds. It's worthless. This might be ok for air soft gamers but not in the real world of real firearms. Avoid this at all costs.

What can I say? I am more than happy with this purchase and especially for the price. This is a great combo that sits nicely on my AR15. The light is really bright and the laser is very visible even in daylight! I also love the adjustments which are avl for the laser, allowing you to adjust the laser to line up with your Iron Sights or existing Optics. The flashlight locks on tight with my rail system. The pressure pad is a bonus as well, I currently am not using it but love that is came with this as well.
