Love it once I got it working!
I had intended to put this in a new build I got with Windows 10 on it.. but then I realized the file server I was putting together at the same time (which is an older computer) only had USB 2.0 so I decided to put it in that machine instead since I have a lot of old 2tb USB drives. This older computer runs Windows 7. The computer had no CD/DVD drive so I couldn't put the driver disc that came with it in to run it. But, it seemed (at first) that it had detected the card and installed the drivers for it. I plugged a few things into it and realized it was not working out of the box. So, I went to the website listed on the disc.. well okay I tried to do that but it said www.inateck.de and that didn't do anything so I Googled and found out they are actually https://www.inateck.com - when I found the product on their website I read that you do not need drivers!.. as long as you have Windows 10 (and 8 I believe). Okay, I thought, I don't have Windows 10, where are the drivers for someone in my particular situation? Finally, I noticed them at the way way bottom of the product page itself. There is a support section of the website, but I couldn't find drivers there. I found the drivers on the product itself at the way bottom and the download link didn't specifically even say what operating system it was for. Fortunately, that was what I needed. Once I installed that (and rebooted, don't remember if it said I had to or not but I did reboot) the card was working perfect.I thought I'd note my process in case someone else finds themselves in the same situation as me. This didn't bother me much. I have been doing online driver hunts for products for a very long time. Some companies and websites do a better job than others. This wasn't the best implementation I have seen for providing driver support on a website (seems they are more interested in sales on their website than support as you'll see if you go there, it is very ecommerce geared) but the product itself works fantastic. I have 4x 2tb hard drives attached to to my file server through USB 3.0 and mapped them to my other computers and am getting incredible speeds (compared to what I was getting on my old file server that only had USB 2.0).Worth it. I will be buying another one of these soon for the computer I actually intended to buy it for. My plan was to use this for the Oculus since it needs 3x USB 3.0 ports. I don't even own the Oculus yet though, so I can buy this again later when I am actually trying to do the Oculus setup.

Great board from a Great company!
This is a great addition to my desktop system. I added it to use a new external hard drive and I think I made the right choice this time. The speed of the USB 3.0 of this card is remarkable. This is the second USB 3.0 card I have used. I am sorry to say the first one did not work for me. I should have bought this one the FIRST TIME!Installation was super simple. If you need a driver update for it just pop over to their site and I am sure you can download for Free anything you may need.I thought I would probably need external power as I normally do with most other brand boards I have bought in the past, but it was not nessisarry. It works just fine on its own with just the slot power provided to it by just simply plugging it in. Time to install and fire up the new hard drive was less than 20 minutes total. Pretty hard to beat! As is the company that sells this board, and their customer support is second to none! I have used them once in the past and they are flawless! I wish I could say that about the other companies I have dealt with over the years, I am sure you do as well. Buy with confidence folks! A easy to install board that is super simple to set up as well. From the best after market company in the business! Enjoy all that speed!

Got a bad unit, but replacement works great
Cannot get it working, after spending hours on the internet searching for a solution. Plugged into motherboard with no problems. Installed drivers from Inateck web site with no problems. Shows driver were installed successfully. PCI-E Card has power because when I plug my WD Passport Ultra external storage into it, the WD power LED lights up. PCI Card is showing up in device manager with yellow "!" on it. Have rebooted. Have reinstalled drivers, but still not working. Will likely have to send it back.Update 7/26/2014: So far Inateck hasn't been much help. No response from emailing customer service, and the only response I received on their forum was just a waste of time asking if my WD Passport needs reformatted. Really? FYI, no, WD Passport works absolutely fine when plugged into any other USB ports, but nothing works, including another external hard drive, or any of my flash drives when plugged into any of the four slots on the Inateck PCI-E Card.Update 8/08/2014: After 15 days worth of headaches, and an incredible amount of frustration, Inateck sent me a replacement PCI card which arrived today. I installed it, and I'm happy to say it worked immediately. Since the drivers were already installed on my computer from trying to get the first card working, my 64 bit Windows 7 system recognized the card immediately. In other words, after all this frustration, the dozen or so back and fourth emails with customer service, and trying a number various things to get the card working, it turns out the card was just defective. The replacement card is working swimmingly, and I can immediately tell there's a huge leap in speed. HALLELUJAH! Because the card now works so well, I'm upgrading my review to 4 stars. I'd probably give it five stars if it weren't for the endless number of headaches I experienced over the past couple of weeks, which obviously could have been avoided had they sent me a replacement right off the bat. The only reason I hung in there and didn't just ask for a refund was because of the glowing reviews from people who also had headaches, but then eventually got their working. Thanks to Stella from Inateck's customer support for putting up with all of my complaining and for all her communication. Although I think Inateck has a lot of work to do to fix their customer support procedures, If Stella hadn't been so diligent in communicating with me, I'd have probably given up long ago. I would recommend this card, if you keep in mind that you may go through hell just getting it to work, but once you get there it seems to work very well. If anything changes, I will update my review again.

Brilliant product for the price.
Bought to expand USB3 capability for the extra ports required on Occulus rift, other brand adapters just didn't provide the power needed and/or had dodgy drivers, this version was auto installed on Windows 10 and Linux and has worked flawlessly. Highly recommended for the price.
