JW Pet Company Activitoys Triple Mirror Bird Toy

I wonder what you want to know about this toy: is it good quality, or do parrots love it? I think you want to know both.Let's talk about quality first. Made in China should say it all. The mirrors are not mirrors, just some thin plastic with a reflective coating and a sheet of paper glued to the plastic support. They do look like mirrors to the bird though. The big rings are glued to the mirror holding rings. That glue was unglued in two days by my young Indian Ringneck; and she is not very strong yet, I believe she is about 4 months. Now, how did I know what's on the back side of the mirrors if the mirror is glued to that plastic? You are gonna love this. My parrot eats mostly pellets, some fruits and seeds. Somehow she figured out that if she walks to the water and dips them in the water, they soften and she can chew them easier. Since she figured that out, that's what she does when she feels the pellets are too hard. She only does it with the harder ones. Keep in mind that the water is at the opposite end of the cage.Why is this relevant? Just read please and we are starting the review about whether or not parrots like/love it.About two hours after the toy was added to the cage, my parrot start playing with it. She spent A LOT of time with it. I don't know for sure if she broke one of the rings after a day, or two. The blue ring and the inner ring(the one with the mirror) got separated during that "malfunction". She took the yellow inner ring and start dipping it into the water. We couldn't believe our eyes. She thought the toy will soften, just like the pellets. But since nothing was happening she thought that maybe it needs to be coming from the food tray. So she took it to the food tray, dipped it in, than walked it to the water, dipped it into water, several times. We laughed and said "Have fun 'cause nothing is going to happen". We were wrong! The mirrors backside soaked (being from paper) and fell after a while. I guess her "logic" proved right. Dip it in the water and it will soften after a while. All my family had fun watching her, and I think she was satisfied. She still plays with the plastic piece, carries it around the cage, etc. She also plays with the other two rings (the remains of the toy).Conclusion: While the toy "broke" fairly quickly, we would buy another one for the fun we got. Whether she likes it or not we don't know, but she certainly is "playing" with it, and stays busy with it.

Updated 11/18/2021I purchased a second toy for Pip’s cage and it arrived broken. Bummed that we waited for this delivery and we cannot use the toy as purchased.It looked like the package was stepped on or crushed during transit.Regardless: This is an awesome toy when it arrives unbroken.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~My Lovebird loves this toy.This is Pip’s second toy, as he tore apart the first one.We use the parts from the first as toys, Pip loves those too.Could be made a little more sturdy, that is my only suggestion.As long ad this toy is available, we will buy it.

This toy is called the Teddy Bear in our house. Our sweet guys love to nestle up to it at night and love to play with it during the day. They check themselves out in the mirror. They love ringing the bell. And they absolutely love swinging and twirling from it.As it is a delicate toy (where humans are concerned), we've had to replace it a few times. We've accidentally broken it while cleaning. However, as this is their favorite toy, we will continue to replace it without complaint.

FYI this item is not returnable. Found this out the hard way.Bought 1 of these 2 years ago. So far it’s held up OK, but 2 of the 3 mirrors have fallen out on their own, he is not rough at all with the toy, just looks into it mainly. Our bird (parakeet) likes this even still. It Also cracked but seems to be holding up.We purchased another one so he’d have all the mirrors again, and it’s at an affordable price. It is the most flimsy fragile piece of plastic you can imagine, and an accidental drop from low height shattered it beyond repair into 10 pieces.Will not be buying this again.

My green cheek conure loves this toy! This current purchase is not the first (nor second) time I've bought this for him. You can tell they don't assume it will last a super long time from the fact that it's set up so you can have one shipped very month or two. At the current price, it's worth it to me. It's light enough that he can pull the hanging part to various places which he enjoys. He's fairly rough with it. Anyway, bought two this time so I can quickly rehang when he breaks this one. Colorful, mirrored, lightweight bird fun!

Bought to replace identical toy. Earlier one was our male parakeet’s favorite toy, so much so that after one of the rings cracked and fell off, we modified it and got at least another year use, until the mirrors started to fall out. A pretty good run for an inexpensive mirror toy.

my bird loves to look in the mirror and also climb and hang on it! this one is lovely... well made!

I've had a few of these over the years for cockatiels and parakeets. They loved slamming it around. Never had any breakage issues.

I have had this product before, However not from this seller. The product was very poorly packed. This has resulted on one of the rings been broken. luckily I still had the old version of this toy. Where I could attach one of the older rings to the new one. However it's not the sellers fault, it's the manufacturer. It seems a common fault with this toy as I had this problem in the past. But my budgie still loves this toy.

1. The product I received is defective. Although the packing was good, the toy is broken in multiple places2. I observed that this product date back to July 2018 which is 2+ years old3. I am now really considered for the safety of my birds as I feel it lacks quality

This attractive toy offers something budgies love most, a bell and beads to pull. I often stay away from mirrors for budgies but these little mirrors are not a big distraction if the toy is hung where they can enjoy looking at the bell and pulling the beads. They climb up and have a look in the mirror, then go back to pulling the translucent beads which catch the sunshine nicely and almost look like orange lights, so cute.

I really like this little toy. It took the birds a short time before they decided to check it out and investigate but now they seem to like it and are playing with it! I just think they like looking at themselves in the mirrors! HA It is well made and safe.

It's not the most sturdy toy but my green cheek conure goes nuts for it
