JLC 25W Cree LED Parking Brake Tail Light Stop Bulb 3156 3157 3457 4157 T25 - Xenon White

I have tried several other "high output" LED bulbs, but these 25W total power 5 element Cree LEDs are amazing! Not only are they a very nice bright white, but I would guestimate their total lumen light output to equal most 55W headlights. Some other LEDs have a single 5W to 8W cree bulb which fire back thru a projector magnifier, but these 4 extra side-firing Crees in these bulbs really make the difference in both my Silverado pickup truck and my C6 Corvette Z06 back up lights. These are really valuable if you have tinted windows. While the construction of the barrell is plastic versus aluminum in the other rear firing Cree bulbs, they work. JLC lighting does recommend that these lights only be used for intermittent duty (reverse lights or brake lights), as they would tend to get hotter and would reduce lights, so you can't use in normal run tail lights or daytime run lights. I did have a single bulb die on my truck, but JLC promptly sent out a replacement, as soon as they got more in stock, and they did not put me through the hassle of having to ship back the bad bulb. I highly recommend these.

These are definitely bright but the LEDs are much smaller than a normal bulb and therefore require special reflectors to properly spread the light. When used as back-up lights in my 2001 Chevy Suburban the light doesn't spread very well. It's a little better than stock but not that much.
