Whoa Nellie! This is substantial.
I typically use a scratch awl with a ball peen hammer) to lift upholster staples. I thought that I would try this tool. This tool is well balanced, substantial, and gets the job done. I did need a hammer to assist, and the end of the tool gives plenty of surface area. PSA: Ensure that you keep your stabilizing hand well out of the way. This tool is quite sharp. The forge on the tip end is strong and true. This took has high quality, utility and design.

Sturdy and made well
This little staple remover saved me so much time! I had to redo a boat cushion and it had lots of staples, this tool made the removal of all those staples a piece of cake. It’s well made and very sturdy it will tackle any size staple

1 of the best pullers avail
Want a classic original tool that has been engineered specifically for upholsterers? This C. S. Osborn puller is one of my go to’s. The extremely sharp points allow the ability to dig under and remove the staple. The natural hand conforming handle fits perfectly in the palm or under your index finger to continuously work. Perhaps too good, I gave myself 2 blisters. The little versatile slots on the working end works awesome when grasping that broken staple out instead of having to switch tools. Which means no down time or a faster removal process.

Makes pulling staples a breeze!
I've used this handy tool for several re-upholstery projects. This is the right tool for any reupholstery project you have that involves removing staples. It sure beats a knife or flathead screwdriver. This makes pulling the existing staples out of furniture very easy with minimal gouging of the wood underneath. I've used these to get the job done on a bedframe, dinner chairs, barstools, and most recently my car's center console/arm rest.

Not an upholstery pro, but the tool worked well enough for me
I bought this to use to remove about a million staples from my pool table that I re-clothed. This was my first foray into upholtstery and I started with a flat screwdriver that I ground sharp. That worked well enough but was hard/fatiguing.This tool was made for pulling staples and it did a good job. Many of the staples were sunk flush with the surrounding wood so I needed to "dig" them out. The sharp tip of this worked great for that!It was a bit shorted than I expected and was also straight - neither of these are complaints about the product as it has a very quality look and feel. If I had it to do again, I would have bought the same brand but got something with a longer handle and a 45-degree bend at the bottom.

Works OK
I have small hands and not a lot of strength behind them. It fits my hands good and does an okay job. I am sure would be better if my hands were bigger. Better than a screwdriver for getting out staples.

Great staple remover! Well made!
This tool is great! Seems like it's very well made! I am an amateur DIYer for upholstery projects. I recovered several dining room chairs that had thousands of staples. Once you got the hang of using the tool to get under the staple in the right place and use a twisting motion to remove it, you can get 99% of the staples out quickly without using pliers.
