Levi's Boys 8-20 501 The Original Jeans

I appreciate a pair of jeans that my boys wont wear the knees bare in a week of two. 501's are made from a thicker denim. I love the classic styling with the lower front and higher back on the waste line. Be aware that if your kids are slim to average they run wide in the waist line. Also, they do not have the elastic "cheat" waist band that many of us have come to expect. My boys cinch the waste with a belt because I like the style.

i wear a size 16. but in the 505s i am able to wear a 14 for a more fitting style. i thought it would be the same witht the 501s. they still fit, atleast these did better since the material is lighter than the aged perfect. but still a bit snug on the waste and hip area. maybe they would break in. i am not sure. am returning them for now. i have some old 501s when they were made in the us. i think the cut has changed slightly. the size 16 are a bit too baggy for my taste now these days but still comfy.

I miss the sturdy fabric that 501s used to have. Otherwise these are great.

I have had DECADES of experience with Levi's. I know that I can ALWAYS rely on both Levi's sizing and fit to be EXACTLY what the labeling says it will be. The quality of the construction and materials are AT LEAST as good, if not better than other brands that cost 4 or 5 times more. Not mention, Levi's styling is timeless.....both "classic" and modern at the same time.

Terrible!! Whatever happened to regular denim? At least 1style would be nice!! One pair was coated in black which rubbed off on anything that touched it. The other pair had a raised area that resembled a map of Germany. Levi's could make just one style of regular jeans---(there is sand paper for those just must have a worn look) ----which is ridiculous on a young child who hasn't had the time to acquire the vintage look that Levi's is so pathetically missing. Additionally, one pair fit while the other (same size and style!) was huge!!

Perfect jeans, perfect fit, 501's always seem to be just the right jeans. My son loves these jeans and wants several more just like them.

It has no zipper, has buttons only.
