iPad / Android based Teleprompter R810-4 with Beam Splitter Glass

I have been lugging around one of those "overly priced and WAY to heavy" teleprompter rigs for years now. When you think about it, all you need is beam splitter glass set at a 45˙ angle, and a piece of black fabric to cut out reflections and glares. Why spend all that money on an expensive & heavy teleprompter rig (and even MORE money on luggage costs when using it out of state), when you can have it all for around $100 and pack it with your laptop?! This thing is AWESOME! It folds up nicely so you can pack it with your laptop & iPad, and has a screw mount underneath to mount on a tripod! I just mount it on a cheap $10 tripod from Walmart, and place it in front of my camera tripod. Easy Cheesy! Sets up in seconds and you can take it anywhere! I LOVE THIS THING! A+ Product & Seller!

This thing is awesome! The glass is perfect, and I love being able to use it on a table or a tripod. My only complaint is that the screw on my tripod plate couldn't reach the screw hole on the bottom of this kit. I took a sharp knife and cut a square in the padding on the bottom of the teleprompter in the shape of my base plate, and it works perfectly now. If the screw hole was a little closer to the base I'd give it 5 stars, but honestly, how could you beat the price of this awesome little teleprompter. I definitely suggest this one. I also love the fact that this is a separate system completely detached from the camera. Yes it means using two tripods, but it allows you to adjust your lens length. Great product!

Update: I bought this in April 2015. It’s now Nov 2018 and it still works flawlessly. I moved from LA to NJ Ari Portland and the glass never broke. Used it to film an online course, YouTube videos, everything. This thing is amazing._______This thing is a gift from the video gods. It's absolutely flawless. I shipped it from Cali to NYC so my friend could use it, she shipped it back, still works perfectly. Whoever invented this thing is a genius. I have access to a REAL teleprompter, and never use it. Too heavy, has to be plugged in. But this thing requires no power supply, nothing. Just an ipad. LOVE it. I praise you for inventing this!

Very Solid. I mounted it on a separate tripod in front of the camera and it worked as advertised. Very easy to view the teleprompter and video was not obscured. Happy with the purchase and would buy it again

I'm new to doing training videos so this was a huge help. Very nice teleprompter setup, works great with iPad and a free telemprompter app. Make sure you keep it in a protective case so it doesn't break.

It screws into a tripod mount and then can adjust to various positions. I use it with a teleprompter app for my iPad and it does well.I gave it 4 stars because I think I'll have to be pretty careful with it because of the way the metal rod holds it into position. It seems to be at risk of failure at the 2 holes that this goes into. But it hasn't and I can be careful... it is made of glass after all.I think you're going to like it.

This thing will pass as professional. No need to spend tons of money on something else. I chose this one because it has a mount for it's own tripod. I've yet to use it in the field, but it works great from my tests. I used my iPhone.My only wish it that it came with a pack or carry case. I will need to figure something out there, but otherwise no complaints.

Works well. A little pricy for a hand made item, but well made and very functional. Compared to the competition, it's a cheap option for the vidiographer on a budget!
