Soil is nice
Minus 1 star for ordering multiple times and never receiving the gloves they advertise to come with it. I’ll order differently next time. The product is great though.

Perfect soil from the beginning
Oh my goodness. When this arrived I thought ;” oh boy, I ordered way too much “ but it was a perfect match to the 5 - 3 gallon fabric bags. My tomato plants immediately perked up. I’ve always enjoyed playing in good black soil during the spring and have missed the opportunity since I’ve moved into my apartment. This is such a nice black thick soil. Feels like the kind you find in a huge field. The gloves were a nice touch. The ingredients are good and really are good match for any big box garden dept.. Yeah you can get less expensive soil but then you have to get all the additives. Making this bag a good value. On the plus side, I didn’t have to lug it to my car or up to my apartment. Making this bag an easy to use garden soil. Looking forward to the end result.

This Is Not Coconut Coir only.
I expected this to be coir only (plus perlite), the fibrous substance between outer covering and husk. I have Anise seeds & other very small seeds, lettuce etc. Before I can use this to germinate very small size seeds I must sift thru the medium to remove numerous 2-3 inch pieces & chunks of what resembles hardwood tree bark A brick of compressed coir has low density lightweight fiber that holds large amount of water. This absorbs some water, then soon becomes a water logged clump that is too wet and can turn your seeds to mush. Bigger but still small seeds can get stuck under the wood like pieces & struggle to sprout. It’s much more expensive than compressed coir which can absorb and hold large amounts of water.Foxfarm coco coir mix is not good for germinating seeds/seedlings.Back to Home Depot for me.I’ll filter the remaining half of bag and post update with video.
