Fire cube + projector + Sonos Beam
My big screen TV died, decided to use projector until I can get it fixed. Only one HDMI on projector and got tired of using projector built in speakers. Connected the Fire Cube to the SIIG 2.0 audio extractor with HDMI cable, ran HDMI cable out to projector, ran optical cable to Sonos Beam using adapter that Sonos includes and now I have decent sound from the sound bar. The Beam also lets me group to all my other Sonos speakers. Works like a charm. No big hurry in getting the TV fixed. Would’ve given it five stars because it does exactly what it’s supposed to do at a very reasonable price, and appears to be quality built. Took off one star because it didn’t include the required 5 volt power supply.

Does not extract audio from 5.1ch contents
I waited for the powered subwoofer to be delivered and when it did arrive, tried to use this device to extract HDMI audio but only to be disappointed. The product only extracts stereo audio from stereo sources (own files and Youtube). No sound extracted from both the 3.5mm or optical output even on any dip switch settings when source material is 5.1 channel (own files and NETFLIX).When source material is 5.1 ch, I can only get loud noise from 3.5mm stereo output and no sound from optical output.I can only assume that the unit is defective. There is currently no product support using Amazon app. Please assist on either return or replacement.

Poor instructions, intermittent functionality
I got it to work at first, but it didn't survive a signal source and television power cycle. Got it work a second time with some fiddling. Third time and fiddling didn't fix it, into the junk bin. Here's some missing definitions of the acronyms in the crap instructions:ARC = Audio Return ChannelEDID = Extended Display Identification DataFW = your guess is as good as mine, maybe FirmWare???CEC = Consumer Electronics Control

Works with Astro Mixamp pro
Currently using this with my PS5. Needed this device to make my Astro a40 TR + mixamp pro be able to use app all functionality. It works exactly how it’s designed with no need for any updates. The mixamp pro functions just like it does on the PS4. A+++
