Overall I am very pleased with this saddle. . The saddle is made of leather and metal, period. I measured the leather and it is 5mm thick. One caution: the nuts holding the seat together were not very tight upon receipt and had no lock washers or such. I would recommend checking them for tightness, and adding some lock washers or getting nylon insert nuts, or do what I did and use a little superglue as a thread locker. I do not ride very far, so I can't comment on long term comfort, but one could expect the leather to "break in" some over time.I put this saddle on my "dirt road" coaster brake single speed, that I cobbled together with a frame, and rims I had hanging around, with some knobby tires I purchased elsewhere

Was disappointed to have one of the end rivets to be loosely punched in which could be felt while riding. But a real genuine leather replica of a Brooks B66 saddle at one fifth of the cost is a great price to pay for a saddle that is supposed to mould to your body. For now the feel is a bit mushy, but comfortable and the floating rivet I will either tape it down or hammer it flat in the future. This is probably a good saddle design for a wider fit or for female riders, or for all who prefer cycling in an upright position.
