I bought two of these to wrap around my 9.25 SCT and they work great. Far less cost than other brands that have features I don’t need ( like the ability to control 4 heaters, variable voltage etc. ).

These work great with a small battery pack but the cable is too short to reach the power pack below the mount on the ground. Using a USB 2.0 does not allow it to heat up. Using a USB 3.0 is a little better but still no enough. If the cable were twice as long like the more expensive ones I could give it a 5 star. Great price, but at a trade off.

I purchased this heater for my NexStar 4SE goto telescope. The strip fits the OTA well but in all honesty it does not seem to get that hot to me. I have connected it to a powerpack and a computer's USB port and neither time did it get as warm as I had thought it would. Unfortunately, the skies have limited me to not being able to actually test it's performance in the field. One thing though, the controller is to short (or to close to the end of the cord). To really be useful you really will need a USB extension unless you like bending over constantly to control the settings.

I bought this item to keep the dew off of my telescope lens but it does not do its job. On a 45 degree night the heat strip was cool to the touch on its highest setting. If it cant even stay warm in that temperature then it will be even more useless when it gets colder out. This is the 40cm version.

Easy to fit over the lens and having the temperature adjustment is a nice bonus.
