Great for added security when you’re with it
Compared to the $200-300 cases, this is a great deal. This case slides down over the monitor and is secured by Velcro under the monitor. There is a handle at the top if you wish to carry it that way. Personally, I would not trust that Velcro to hold the weight of my computer. Fortunately, there is also an adjustable shoulder strap on one side that shifts the open Velcro end to the side, where gravity won’t work against the Velcro. Because this option provides security - use the shoulder strap and hold onto the iMac base with one hand - I’m happy with this product. I bought it to use for trips to the Apple Store Genius Bar. I think it will work fine for that. But this is not something to be used as luggage. If you’re right there with it on your arm, fine. Otherwise, not recommended.
