Review for YUKIHALU Small Size Universal Ceiling Fan Remote Control Kit,Wireless Remote Controller Our old (~15 year old) but big (1.7m span) and more importantly Quiet B&Q ceiling fan started playing up the original IR based controller had started only working at low speed and if you put in medium or high speed it would not stop via the remote plus even the low speed was getting erratic and the fan would randomly speed up. The OEM controller was potted so time for a new controller. Only took a few seconds to test with a multi meter which wire went to the light and which to the motor. I used the connectors provided at first to test the unit and it worked perfectly ...however these connectors are not very robust and are not made from self extinguishing plastics (easily tested with a lighter) ....I highly recommend you buy a few WAGO 222 series clip connectors. So now I knew it worked I de-soldered the supplied wires from the PCB and soldered in the cables from the defunct unit as they had all the correct connectors for the fan / light on already...(I'm an electrical engineer by trade) This new unit was smaller than the old defunct unit so fitment was easy. Whilst the connecting cables that were on the unit are NOT in UK /EU harmonised colours they are very clearly marked as to what they're function is.... so if you go armed with a multi meter and some Wago 222 series connectors this is an easy replacement for an old defunct fan controller. The other upside to this is that our old controller which used a solid state switch for the light was not compatible with LED lamps the leakage current was high enough to light the led lamps slightly even when switched off this unit simply uses a relay so LED’s aren’t a problem anymore. The timer function is also a nice added bonus. The unit comes with full instructions including how to stop it beeping at every command (just hold down the ‘STOP’ button till the centre led on the remote stops flashing )..hey presto no more beeps. The unit is self uses very cheap capacitive dropper circuits to derive the control voltages for the relay and fan control..Can’t comment on reliability but if this begins playing up I’d suspect the capacitors first. Also I’d highly recommend that the original wall switch is retained so the fan controller is only powered when you need it to be ..This will increase the life span of the capacitive droppers. On that note when the unit is powered up it defaults to fan off and light on so if you retain the original house light switch it works just like any other ceiling light fitting. On the plus side whilst I was soldering my OEM cables to this controller I was impressed at the quality if the soldering in the unit ..no dry or ‘half’ soldered joints ...but only time will tell as to longevity .

Simple to connect works perfectly

If you are using this as replacement, note this smaller receiver is only 150W compared to the 300W of most original & other replacements, so your fan speeds will be half that as expected. Worked well but having a high setting equivalent to low of the original, not the best if you need to quickly cool the room down. On the plus side is quieter due to lower speeds

This unit was a perfect replacement for the remote control unit that had died in the light/fan in my conservatory. I ordered a small unit to ensure that it fitted inside the fan housing, which it did with no problem. The wiring is simple to carry out with the supplied connectors. The wires are clearly labelled with their function making it a simple job to exchange the old unit for the new one. Do be aware that the unit doesn't support dimming the bulb. The advantage is that you can then use a standard LED bulb. The handset provides 3 fan speeds and a choice of time delays for switching off. Highly recommended.

I didn't mess about I got an electrician to fit it with my ceiling light fan and I am very happy with the purchase.

DO NOT BUY…….POOR QUALITY. Pros: Was easy to install due to its small size. Cons. Fan only worked at 1 speed. STOPPED WORKING AFTER A MONTH. Tried the remote reset & re-pair but didn’t solve issue. I have been offered a refund but that doesn’t cover the cost of paying for it to be swapped.

It's ok.... The 3 fan speeds i had with my fan before installing this remote control unit was low medium and high or 1,2+3. I now have medium, high and Max. This changes depending on what you change the pull cord to on the actual fan, the instructions say put the fan on Max setting before install which i did and got the above. In order for me to get the low setting and a half decent high setting without using the pull cord every time i put my fan into level 2 medium then select low on the remote, i unfortunately don't get as fast of a max setting.

Very clear instructions. All wires labeled to make it easy to fit. Truly universal as my conservatory fan is 14 years old. This model is smaller than the original so it fitted easily into shrowed. The remote has 3 speed buttons which match my fan and worked first time. There is no dimmer function for the lights, they are on or off. (We rarely used this function on the old remote so not an issue for us). The remot comes with a wall bracket if you want it. Very pleased with the unit (2 weeks in) it does what it says on the tin.

Toller Empfänger mit Fernbedienung. Pünktlich angekommen. Sehr leicht zu verbauen,da wesentlich kleiner als anderer Bekannter. Einziger Nachteil sind die Drillklemmen, gehören am deutschen Markt nicht dazu - ich bevorzuge die Wagoklemmen. Funktion ist einwandfrei und zusätzlich mit Pipston. Ventilator läuft sehr leise . Habe zwei Empfänger verbaut und bemerkt das jeder auf eine andere Frequenz reagiert ,was ich positiv finde. Von mir volle Kaufempfehlung

Mi mando del ventilador empezó a fallar después de muchos años de uso, por un fallo electrónico: los botones hacian cosas que no debían, tipo obsolescencia programada . El ventilador era bueno, de los que ya no se hacen, pero sin marca conocida, por lo que tenía dudas de compatibilidad. Probé otro mando y no funcionó, pero este ha sido un éxito. Ahora va perfectamente. He perdido la función dimmer con la luz, pero es un mal menor. Emite un pequeño beep al pulsar los botones h se enciende un led de testigo. Lo mejor de todo es que el módulo receptor es muy compacto, notablemente menor que el original, y se acopla con holgura en el cajetín del ventilador, que es uno de los mayores inconvenientes en la instalación, la falta de espacio. La conexión sencilla, como se espera en algo tan elemental, pero para quienes puedan tener dudas, les ayudará que en todos los cables esta indicado cuál es. Así que todo perfecto de momento. Esperemos que dure muchos años.

Il kit è arrivato il giorno dopo l'ordine e completo come previsto nell'offerta e si monta facilmente seguendo le indicazioni nel foglio allegato, il sistema ricevente è di ridotte dimensioni ma bisogna fare attenzione allo spazio a disposizione, ho avuto qualche difficoltà nell'inserirlo nella borchia di soffitto del mio ventilatore datato. Avendo un interrutore che comanda la luce a parte, ho preferito utilizzare il telecomando solo per il ventilatore, lasciando libero il relativo filo di comando del ricevitore. Il "bip" che viene emesso si può facilmente disattivare. Il prodotto è buono, di facile installazione e funziona benissimo. Consiglio l'acquisto.

J'ai pris cette télécommande pour les ventilateurs de plafond Farelek 'Baléares' (ventilateur et luminaire) en remplacement de la télécommande Farelek, qui ne me satisfaisait pas (voir mon commentaire). Cette télécommande est parfaite : facile à installer, assez petite pour se glisser facilement dans le support du ventilateur, elle a une vraie fonction On/Off pour la lumière et on a les 3 vitesses pour le ventilateur. De plus, elle émet un 'bip' pour indiquer que la commande a été prise en compte (pratique pour le ventilateur qui met du temps à changer de vitesse). Enfin, il est possible de mettre un ventilateur 'commandé' dans chaque pièce avec sa propre télécommande, sans interférences entre elles. Je recommande vivement.
